Rumor..has it..The AWA MEC is about to issue blue badge backers. Since AAA is no longer in joint talks, there is no reason for to be on red?
Since there is no unity, what is the point?

Well don't count your chickens too soon!! I have heard nothing about that and I would have!! Now this unity that you speak of or that lack there of is an east break down ONLY!!! We are unified on the west and will be further along with each passing day!!!
I am glad, because we are unified as well in the East. You can stick your unity . We will NEVER vote yes for a new contract. You will have to wait a while before you can steal our seats. You cannot quite understand why we are pissed do you? Your mouth is one reason.
Meanwhile we'll open section 6, leave you guys in the dust and never look back.
So I guess it is just majority rules now. Let's forget all constitutions. Let's forget all by-laws. Majority is where it is at apparently. Why even have an arbitration and merger policy when we can just let majority vote? It would save a lot of lawyer money. No doubt you'll have management right where you want them  Good luck on the "section 6" part.

"....Now this unity that you speak of or that lack there of is an east break down ONLY!!!..."
I must have missed something here:
1) The vast majority of the pilots are in the east.
2) The west refuses to reconsider a position that's clearly intolerable to said majority.
3) Blame is placed on the majority for a lack of "unity".
I'm confused.
Given the disproportianate numbers, and the west's "minority status": A cogent case can easilly be made for the west being little more than a "special interest group" that's adhering to a selfish agenda, against the betterment of the entire group.
Do you have anything to offer to end this mess, besides; "Just give us your seats/attrition/everything you've yet got left"..and there will instantly be some fabulous new contract?.....Perhaps even 40 Acres and a Mule?/72 Virgins in Paradise?.....and all will be well? No one out here's really buying any of that BS.

We really look like idiots now for spending so much assessment money on legal advice. You should have drafted your resolution for membership majority vote for all ALPA matters a long time ago.Apparently...as would seemingly be actually proper in the USA..as per THE Constitution![]()
BTW where does the Constitution allow majority rules in legal disputes? I thought it was left to third party neutrals (i.e. juries) to decide such matters.
Of course. I would not expect him to vote any other way but let's remember we only have a near unanimous vote to "look" at the decision. Let's wait to see what the vote over any type of action is before we decide whether National believes the Nic arbitration followed merger policy.Good point sir. Let's take the first round results of a given "jury" of sorts: Wasn't the AWA Rep the ONLY dissenting vote at Alp Nat'l, as to having a longer look at the Nic "award"?
Perhaps that's a poor example, and this should just be run through actual courts for years yet to come.
Again: Good luck on all Section 6 efforts.
Dumb question. What IS a blue backer?
honestly i couldn't care less.lolI'd like to know the same thing...
Anyone?
