I was a U res agent and retired. I am now a HP res agent and much happier here. I actually love my job and management is so much better but------do you think they'll give me back my seniority if there's a merge??? SURE WOULD BE NICE TO MAKE A LITTLE MORE MONEY.

Doubt it. Then again, the Trump Shuttle employees got their Eastern senority back after the merger. Sadly, once you resign, the party's over. As screwed up as US Airways is, I have to give them credit for integrating the employees fairly. There was no stapling the senority lists. Yes, there was fencing on the pilot group for a period of three years. I wouldn't worry about that, most of the senior US employees are retiring soon or taking the buyout.

One way or another, if the merger were to go through, there will be a lot of very unhappy employees at the bottom of some seniority list. Good luck to all.

Surfing around the different forums, there are a couple of comments on this subject regarding how US Air caused the downfall of PSA and Piedmont. Granted, the former PSA employees have had difficult times since US pulled out of the west coast markets but last time I checked, Charlotte was still out biggest hub....and definitely has the biggest hair...although some of the Philly gals are running a close second.

Anyway, if this happens, I hope that folks on both ends of the route map will remember that we all have stupid people among us who are going to make stupid comments about bases, seniority, who gets what, etc.

Frankly, I'm for anything that has even a chance of brightening the career futures of two whole employee groups. Nobody will be completely happy but maybe we can come together to make it work...it's not like the employees have much sayso anyway...we've all been beat up by management...what's the use of getting worked up about this?
