I thought it was refreshing to see two adults act like adults rather than tear each other up just for the sake of doing so. Bush and Regan had it out and them Bush became Regan's VP. Strikes me as very insincere. While Clinton and Obama have distinct opinions, I do believe that they both respect each other. Perhaps the republicans could learn from that.

As for defining moments, we are not living in the 18th century when candidates would actually talk to each other for hours on end in a pubic forum and actually debate.

Some friends went to the rally and they were told people started to get in line at 4am. The line was wrapped around the stadium. My understanding is there were 17,000 people inside and people had to be turned away. They could not get the people in fast enough. Obama was supposed to speak at 12 or so and did not take the mic till after 1300. It is as though he has a cult following where ever he goes.

Your party had 8 years (10 if you count the Congress) to make a difference. They have succeeded in putting us over $9 trillion in debt, granted tax cuts to those who need them least, started 2 wars, neither of which is even close to being successful and one of which will be haunting this nation for decades. They have managed to kill over 4,000 troops, swing the USSC to the right with the hopes that they would eliminate a womans control over her own body. They have managed to dived this country as not seen in a long long time if ever. They have managed to destroy the image and international clout this country once had and in the process piss off countless nations that cold have been our allies. They have ignored the energy crisis and have done nothing to seek alternate fuels or more responsible practices. And the list goes on.

I'll be happy to give the dems a shot at the future. I sure as hell know that the republicans cannot even begin to deal with the mess they and their boss have created.

WFI EDITOR: Anyone with half a wit would realize that the only way an institution as mammoth as the Federal Government could go from deficits to surpluses, was by employing dubious accounting methods. Along with the statistics that support the PR hype that we are in the middle of a "boom" because some people have made profits from the stock market bubble, it is conventional wisdom that the "wise" men running the country have inflation under control too. The reality that there is no boom, that there is no surplus, is as lost as the truth about Bill Clinton's honesty. His most recent travesty, the Cross Country Poverty Tour, is another example of his superficial means of addressing significant social issues. The president is a photo-op waiting to happen.
