What's new

Can I get an Amen!

Some people just love to hate. We have a small group that wont participate in anything they think has to do with the company. The EMPLOYEE Christmas party, "Dont go to that", employee fund brings in food for the holidays, "Dont eat that stuff". Neither of these had any money or support from the company or management, yet they wouldnt come and tried to intimidate others not to participate. Their loss, they missed out on some good food and a good time.

We have them in the air too. I'm sure most f/a's on here have flown with the grumpy f/a. Constantly complains about EVERYTHING under the sun. Absolutely HATES passenges. They are sooooo draining to be around. While I'm not what some would call a "kool-aid" drinker I tend to be an optomistic person. Even the bs we have dealt with at work isn't anything compared to what some have endured around this country. To be so filled with anger at work all the time. Whewwww, draining to say the least. Nobody at gunpoint, feel free to jump ship.

I love they way they tell you to take a chill pill too when you mention TO THEM something that happened because someone else didnt do their job. Hey, not your problem man. Well, except for the fact that the customer ended up in front of ME wanting ME to do something because someone like YOU took YOUR attitude and didnt do squat to help them and now they're screwed. Do us all a favor and just stay home (Or go away!)

Unfortunately everyone is not a hard working, dedicated, and proud employee like you DJ. But, fortunately, you don't let those type of people get you down and continue to do your best for the customer and the company.

DJ says, "Thank You". Now if we could just find out who this "DJ" person is. I'm gonna have to start asking around the crew room. I have a possible idea though.

That can't be a very good feeling showing up for work everyday thinking to ones self..."how I hate this F#$%ing place". I love what I do here and hope we never have to endure what we all have gone through again. Some really need to check out and give the out of work person the ability to come back to US and work and do what THEY love to do as well.
Well said. The people "love their job but hate their company" bring their negative attitudes to work. It shows to the customer. And that, more than anything, can ruin a company. And SL, don't say it's all management's fault that you feel that way--especially since you seem totally unwilling to give new management any benefit of the doubt. You have already resigned yourself to the belief that things will never improve. THAT is something nobody else can change.

Lets see, new management...!! Ummm…

In 24 years I've worked for at least 10 CEO's and been through more directors than you can list. Historically speaking, these guys are no different.

Pick up your pomp pomp’s and shoes after practice.

CEOs put their pants on just like everyone else. And guess what they are people with personalities just like us, with likes and dislikes. Would you say that every mechanic is just alike? All Americans are just alike? How bout all Iranians are just alike. Such a blanket statement SL exposes ignorance in the human nature. The ones you have dealt with in the past may have been similiar...I can't dispute that because I didn't know any of them. Not all CEOs have on thing in mind that many believe the are bent on...to screw the employees that work for them. Come on...get off of it.

And like I said, if everyone in this company had the same attitude you do, we would definitely fail.

Just a question for you SL........in those 24 years, have you had aspirations of becoming a supervisor, manager, director, etc.??

If you stayed 24 years it isn't Managements fault you're unhappy It's YOUR FAULT

Listen…CEO of a major company…anybody’s dream job…running the show, the big dog , bigger paychecks. Doing what most just dream about.

Why on earth would you leave..??? Think about that for one second..?? Leaving a dream job..?? Why, because something wasn’t right…something smelled…2 and 2 didn’t add up to 4. You people see where I’m heading with this…??

Every CEO saw something that wasn’t right and left….Over the last 10 years we have had a new CEO every 2 or 3 years. Its called…MISMANAGEMENT…!!

OK . .you say CEO's left because they saw something wasn't right. Based on your post history-you obviously believe the same thing. Our question to you is . .why are you still around??????

To fulfill his role as the company martyr obviously. 🙂

As hard as all these changes are to most people I believe that US Airways is slowly headed down the right track. One bit of short-sightedness I noted however is on the IT-side. For example, this merger has been in the works since early/middle last year. They should have had an army of geeks like me working on getting website/ticketing/customer service systems integrated. I believe that this would have cut down on a lot of headaches experienced by the customers and employees. That being said, these things will be fixed. It is just going to take time while the companies get comfy with each other.

So, in my nondenominational way. Amen!

My tenure of 24 years allows me the right to speak about such pass mismanagement. I will repeat myself and say: “I have NO CONFINDANCE is this managementâ€￾

Pass practices speak volumes…Have you seen one thing different..?? I haven’t…!!

You need to wake up and quit believing that the yellow brick road leads to Tempe.
