What about the east pilots without PBGC and the new hires. Just throw them under the bus?
You have a DC plan and a 401K. If you want a bigger retirement, put more money in it. How stupid are you?

Am I the only one that remembers the west argument during the pay parity discussion that it wasn't fair to give the east parity because the west wasn't getting the same percentage pay raise? Just how would that work?

The westies are sure a piece of work, if by piece of work I mean pile of steaming crap!

The "separate class" is for the lawsuit. You guys already lost that particular argument as far the the CBA is concerned. There is no separate CBA for either side. USAPA represents both.

I guess that the concept of a "rhetorical" question escapes you. Certainly a sign of a less educated person, or at least one of lower intellect. Now I see why your concepts of fairness are so skewed. Like a three year old, the only thing you understand is that the world must revolve around you.

If you could understand the difference between the two concepts, you'd understand that it's not funny at all to the westies, actually pretty tragic. The day that the NMB determined that USAPA was the ONLY representative of both pilot groups was the day the Nic really ceased to exist. Sucks for you.

Well Bill, the company (and reality for that matter) disagrees with your (wishful) thinking the Nicolau list doesn't exist. You must be an '89 hire! Lol

You'd be seriously wrong there (again). I am bright enough to know how to interpret events without throwing tantrums like the westies, army, or dire wolves or whatever they want to be this week. Now that the merger may be in play, watch how fast things happen. The legal maneuvering by the company has only been a stalling tactic, which has resulted in the company making many millions of dollars at the employees' expense. All because a few babies out west can't get through their thick skulls that they don't have a leg to stand on.

You'd be seriously wrong there (again). I am bright enough to know how to interpret events without throwing tantrums like the westies, army, or dire wolves or whatever they want to be this week. Now that the merger may be in play, watch how fast things happen. The legal maneuvering by the company has only been a stalling tactic, which has resulted in the company making many millions of dollars at the employees' expense. All because a few babies out west can't get through their thick skulls that they don't have a leg to stand on.

Bill, here is the cliff notes version: you're screwed. In four months APA will inherit the Nicolau award just like USAPA did when they took over. You've been running for five years now and it looks like the game is up (for you). I know you are dealing with a lot (as evidenced by your statement "nic doesn't exist") and perhaps say irrational things which helps ameliorate the sting of a failed career topped off by Nicolau, but you will move on soon as you near retirement. This is life, you chose stay the course at a failing airline for all these years, accept responsibility now and live in the real world.

Ahh, clueless aren't we. The day USAPA became the only representative was the day you planted the NIC in steel reinforced concrete. You were warned. You can try and modify it, but any modifications will be held up against that arbitrated decision.

C'mon Chill, if USAPA told them the Easter Bunny was on his way in ole' Saint Nic's sleigh to deliver a sack of DOH, they'd believe it.

Besides, I heard that Parker is going to sell off the west and that the APA, recognizing that the east pilot's are the best most experienced pilots on the planet, is going to place them all senior in the widebodies. I have the info from an extremely reliable source (a huge caterpillar, smoking a pipe).
