Well bill, what you would or wouldn't do really doesn't matter- what does matter is the arbitration decision and just for your review west new hires were placed above your '89 hire furloughees. Call it unfair but that is reality- tough to swallow for a group with an entitlement attitude, but if it were up to me YOU would have been in the unemployment line. See how opinions work?

Will ALL east pilots get a PBGC check?


Answer no.

This resolution included both east and west pilots that don't get a PBGC check.

The east pilots who don't get a PBGC aren't clamoring for it. They're relatively young and have decades to build their 401K.

The west is simply up to their usual tactic of trying to steal what belongs to others. It started in Australia, and has not let up.

Yesterday's BPR meeting proved this point.

A resolution was brought that would have shared the benefits of this merger. But predictably the east reps voted against it 8-3.

More selfish behavior. The east wanting to keep everything for themselves.

I hope you never share any benefit of this merger. You westicles were pretty adamant about not getting pay parity for the east, and now taunt us about living on LOA93 forever.

I'm just happy to actually be here to see the old adage come true: "What goes around, comes around."

But....maybe you can send traderjake your address. Once he starts collecting PBGC, he will probably be happy to send you every other check.

Bill, here is the cliff notes version: you're screwed. In four months APA will inherit the Nicolau award just like USAPA did when they took over. You've been running for five years now and it looks like the game is up (for you). I know you are dealing with a lot (as evidenced by your statement "nic doesn't exist") and perhaps say irrational things which helps ameliorate the sting of a failed career topped off by Nicolau, but you will move on soon as you near retirement. This is life, you chose stay the course at a failing airline for all these years, accept responsibility now and live in the real world.

If APA inherits the NIC, it still cannot be used without a signed CBA. Unfortunately APA just signed one, but not to worry, there will be another in about 6-7 years!

Am I the only one that remembers the west argument during the pay parity discussion that it wasn't fair to give the east parity because the west wasn't getting the same percentage pay raise? Just how would that work?

THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT West pilots, and all East pilots without retirement pensions, (or reduced pension benefits) shall earn retirement benefits similar to the maximum provided by the PBGC to many East pilots, or an equivalent sum contributed to their 401K accounts.

THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the PHX representatives will not support a new contract that does not include equivalency in pay, benefits, and retirement (including equivalency of the East's PBGC pension) for all US Airways pilots. Furthermore, the PHX representatives shall include reference to Retirement Parity in all communications to the PHX domicile and other domiciles and representatives when appropriate.

THEREFORE BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED THAT the BPR directs the Negotiating Advisory Committee to negotiate terms to the forthcoming “joint contract,” addressing the concerns stated above in order to provide an ALL US Airways pilots with identical total compensation.

That is exactly what this resolution was designed to do. That the NAC would negotiate with the company to put more money into the 401K accounts of ALL (east and west) pilots that don't have PBGC money.

You'd be seriously wrong there (again). I am bright enough to know how to interpret events without throwing tantrums like the westies, army, or dire wolves or whatever they want to be this week. Now that the merger may be in play, watch how fast things happen. The legal maneuvering by the company has only been a stalling tactic, which has resulted in the company making many millions of dollars at the employees' expense. All because a few babies out west can't get through their thick skulls that they don't have a leg to stand on.

I suggest you take a little time and if you need someone to explain the big words to you. Read the company filings from the DJ case.

They lay out the case to the judge that their only position is to use the nicolau list.

It is you the east pilots that have no leg to stand on.
