You are all over the board. ALPA supporter, ALPA hater, usapa founder, usapa hater, now union hater.
I've learned from the best union busters in the world: ARMY OF LEONIDAS.

I've never been an ALPA supporter.

Good luck getting a pay raise.

Leonidas is not a union buster. Leonidas is designed to make the union live up to their requirements.

What you are admitting is the only purpose of usapa was to avoid the Nicolau.

Wow, you're willing to undercut other pilots and you hate unions. Who's shoe did you get scraped off of?

Bean
What "union"? You hate USAPA. Same pilots, different name. You hate east pilots. I know that. You hate unionism. I know that.

I need a job, just like everyone else and the company pays for the job.

I love aviation, I love this job and I love the professionalism. I take pride in what I do and I look at the crews I fly with as equal parts of the team. My job as a "captain" is simply make it easier for the crews I work with to successfully do their jobs.

This is a GREAT job and I support the company leadership now, in 2013 and for the rest of my career.

If you guys don't like the job get another.

Pilots are the winiest, weakest, overpaid and underworked groups ever and this forum and the lawsuit are the perfect examples of this.

700UW is exactly right. The sooner the moderators ban pilots off the boards (they won't, it brings in gawkers and advertising dollars) the better.

Good luck with your "unionism".

I'm admitting unionism is a failure.

I'm admitting I'm working.

I'm admitting that I will continue to do the best I can for us airways/AMR to the best if my ability.

I'm admitting that there are many more thousands of pilots on the streets willing to do your job for less and not complain.

I'm admitting I'm NOT complaining about the company, I'm complaining about the pilots that work here and hate their fellow pilots.

I'm admitting I LIKE coming to work and doing my job professionally.

I'm admitting I AGREE with Bob Crandall.

Nope! This deal will be put together quick. It does not make financial sense for separate ops. Parker can't make the pay rates work running three airlines.

Look at the term sheet. Hard time lines.

I'm not to sure about that. "Team Tempe" has been pretty "successful" at operating two separate airlines and making nice profits in the meantime. They wrote the book on this process and dragging out another merger for a few more years, would save them a "guaranteed" Billion $'s or so in labor costs. Hard cash beats "operational synergies" anytime.

I do think this deal is going to happen pretty soon, but one contract with pay parity, not so soon. The company has already filed the appeal of Judge Silver's ruling to the 9th , how long will that process take, including the appeal to the SCOUS?

More like several years before we are all holding hands and enjoying our "real" airline paychecks. I hope I'm wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

They haven't really filed anything. All that is is a placeholder that starts a clock for when they actually have to file an actual appeal. Whether or not they do is dependent upon this month's events.

OK, so at this point management is just using the threat of a DJ appeal as leverage in negotiating the MOU.

Either way, they have no intention of paying LCC pilots higher wages for as long as possible, which under any scenario, will be several years, if ever.

Appealing helps to avoid any chance of successfully being sued by the west. Smart on the company's part. (Always read between the lines.)

I disagree. They won't be paying higher wages if we vote down this MoU. If we do vote it in (and yes, I more than likely will vote in favor) then we will see more pay almost right away. The lump sum, APA rates, and retro alone are worth a great deal of money and I do think everyone from the UCC to Parker to the APA wants to see these come out clean and organized. Obtaining synergies from two airlines may not be difficult, but I can't imagine a merger being worthwhile with three separate work groups. We can choose to get paid more over the course of the timeline this merger takes to complete or we can rot on LoA 93 for another two years and still end up in the same spot as we would of taking the MoU. For me, the choice is obvious. Go to work like EoA, make money, and go home. USAPA is a failed union and events are going to sweep them along with or without their consent.

Please explain that. It's a ludicrous and highly disingenuous statement. If anything, that filing was aimed toward us as a shot across the bow. They're telling us that if this merger doesn't go through, our negotiates (an LoA 93) will be drawn out indefinitely.
