If indeed, this turns out to be a BPR "cram-down" if will effect much more than the next two years. Not to worry, there has never been a shortage of those who "know what's best" for us mere "worker bees".

At this point, personally, I really don't much care. The time it will take to get this thing to a joint contract, plus the fences and freezes that will be in place (as high and as wide as the eye can see) will pretty much guarantee that about the only benefit "I" might see, prior to retirement, is a pay raise. I hope it's a real good one!

USAPA was formed to avoid the Nic and prevent cram downs and here we're about to be crammed down with the MoU and Niclau. Not exactly going to plan. At least we have industry parity to look forward too.

The only "cram down" that can occur on the USAPA side is our Reps NOT letting us vote. We have already pulled the trigger in CLT to resolve that problem, but the fact is even with a recall it will probably be the sitting Reps making the calls. I can only hope for the best. Either way, I want a full accounting of their decision making process. We did NOT get that last time.

None of us have seen "the deal" if there even IS one at this juncture. I suggest everyone just wind their watches for a few days and let this play out.

Hey, I understand, we are all on edge. but there is no gain to be had without a little risk and uncertainty. See you all back here when there is some news, and not just speculation. Put your QRH's away. We are still at the gate.

Great advice Greeter

Doubtful. You come across as a whiney, miserable little man. Your less than stellar career at US Airways and your failure as a union leader were catalysts, I'm sure.

Keep blowing smoke. It's all you've got.
Continue your life in PHX, your going no where fast.

Your breaking my heart.

That was my point. Is the 9th a drop dead date for accepting the MoU? If it truly is, then there is no way for us to vote on the MoU and our Reps have to do the deciding for us. An ALPA-like situation this union was supposed to avoid. I hope we hear something tomorrow.

So any west pilot thinking he can stop the merger by voting no, think again.
I have not heard of a single west pilot talking about stopping the merger.

The biggest positive. Usapa gets buried and east pilots are put in the minority no longer in control.

The vacuum cleaner salesman came to my house today and showed me all the great deals he had for me but I had to agree to buy it TODAY and I could not wait one more minute or I would lose the deal. I told him to come back tomorrow and we would start at that price, i.e. the first thing we would establish is that he lied to me.

Avoid the Nic and cram down DOH on the West.

After 8 years on LOA 93 industry parity sounds pretty damn good to me.

The way Parker designed the CLA with the APA leaves USAPA irrelevant. Vote the MOU up, vote it down, it doesn't really matter. USAPA does not have the ability affect the outcome of the UCC's decision to proceed with any plan the Judge passes.

I agree with you and I honestly believe our reps know the bind they're in. They've been painted into a corner and the only way out is by approving the MoU and the Nic. At least they can project blame on us again for voting it in if it comes to that.
