Delta Labor Relations thread.

The TWU was most certainly involved, they represent the highest paid FAs in the industry.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

The International Association of Machinists national pension fund, long a centerpiece of the union’s organizing efforts and strength because of its positive financial performance, has been sued by the Department of Labor.
In a complaint filed Jan. 24 in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., the Labor Department charged that the fund’s nine trustees – including six union officials and three executives of companies that employ IAM members — did not follow proper procedures when they hired new asset managers and consultants.

And AFA and APFA were involved as well. And the IAM advocated for their members to contact their political representatives.

Can someone post a link outlining the involvement that Delta management had on the issue? I'm sure that they too advocated for its passage? LMAO.

Precisely. And you don't need an enforceable "Employment Contract" either.

Better to enjoy the fresh air when you walk through life with your pants down.

The IAM is raising serious questions over allegations contained in a lawsuit filed by the Department of Labor (DOL) against the IAM National Pension Fund.

The well-funded IAM National Pension Fund is among the nation’s most stable and best managed multi-employer plans, and is in full compliance with all DOL rules and regulations. The complaint makes no allegations that relate to the stability of the Fund or its assurance that its 90,000 beneficiaries will have a secure retirement because of the Plan.

The IAM, which is not named in the lawsuit, believes the DOL complaint should be withdrawn quickly to prevent further harm to the Fund’s reputation, and to prevent needless and costly litigation over issues previously addressed and properly resolved.

The civil complaint, filed by the DOL on January 24, 2016, alleges that in the past, improper procedures were followed in the selection of certain service providers to the fund, and that the Fund incurred improper expenditures between 2008 to 2012 in connection with Fund-related activities.

The DOL complaint fails to note that all questionable expenditures were fully reimbursed and new policies put in place to ensure strict compliance with DOL rules.

The IAM believes it is a disservice to the Plan and its beneficiaries for the DOL to revive allegations over issues that have been previously addressed and resolved.

"No employment contract, no pants"

Repeat that.

Nicely done.

Not for nothing, we had very similar PS language in our last CBA at NW.

These payouts aren't because we're non Union; they're a very real representation of all the revenue each of us has helped generate over the last year.

Well I'm very happy that the company has never done anything to you in 25 years that has made you unhappy. You're one of the great ones that can understand and have sympathy for the corporate dilemma when adjustments needed to be made to your work rules and conditions. Excellent. You're a good little corporate soldier.

To hell with all those Ready Reserves on the ramp too right? If they complain they're just ungrateful little troglodytes who can't appreciate the blessings they've been given to work for Delta Airways. Just a bunch of little jerks right?
