What's new

Delta Labor Relations thread.

Everyone here has known about the over staffing situation in ACS for awhile. They tried to trim heads by offering packages but most people are too young to retire. So the cuts weren't a surprise but that doesn't make it hurt any less. I talked to one friend who had the senoriy to stay but is taking the opportunity to move out west using the moving package from Delta.
Cargo has been like a ghost town for years and even the facility is way larger than needed.
Delta is still paying the lease on the old Comair terminal C because the airport won't terminate it.
Thanks for that.

Did they offer CVG specific packages, or were they the same offers we all got?

Do you (or your friend) know if they were letting people go on TDYs for as long as they wanted like they did with MEM based people ahead of the cuts there?

What sort of seniority will it now take to hold an FT line?

Anyone getting cut in Tech Ops? ACC?

If so, with CVG GSE supporting several line stations, will these layoffs impact that?

As for cargo, it may be outsized, but it's still staying open. I can't understand why they wouldn't want to keep DL employees there if only as a way to mitigate layoffs. Having DGS take over just seems like an overreach.

Does CVG have a high percentage of Ready Reserves? If they do then wouldn't that already be subsidizing the cargo unit for any weakness in revenues? And because of the outsourcing will they shift more RR's over to the line operations?

And you're very good at trolling btw. You never answer any questions asked of you. At all.

Respond to questions not with answers or your opinion but instead ask your own question is diverting the subject.

On the net that's not called discussing the issues, that's called trolling.

Because some of the questions are absurd and not deserved to even be acknowledged.

I'm sorry. Standby. We're having a grownup conversation right now.

We'll get back to you in a bit.

In MEM, they furloughed all of the RRs first before cutting into the regular employee numbers. Not sure what they're doing this time around...

The IAM is raising serious questions over allegations contained in a lawsuit filed by the Department of Labor (DOL) against the IAM National Pension Fund.
The well-funded IAM National Pension Fund is among the nation’s most stable and best managed multi-employer plans, and is in full compliance with all DOL rules and regulations. The complaint makes no allegations that relate to the stability of the Fund or its assurance that its 90,000 beneficiaries will have a secure retirement because of the Plan.
The IAM, which is not named in the lawsuit, believes the DOL complaint should be withdrawn quickly to prevent further harm to the Fund’s reputation, and to prevent needless and costly litigation over issues previously addressed and properly resolved.
The civil complaint, filed by the DOL on January 24, 2016, alleges that in the past, improper procedures were followed in the selection of certain service providers to the fund, and that the Fund incurred improper expenditures between 2008 to 2012 in connection with Fund-related activities.
The DOL complaint fails to note that all questionable expenditures were fully reimbursed and new policies put in place to ensure strict compliance with DOL rules.
The IAM believes it is a disservice to the Plan and its beneficiaries for the DOL to revive allegations over issues that have been previously addressed and resolved.

Ok so I guess what you're saying is thankfully they didn't shift the overall percentage between regular employees and RR over to the total?

We've been told that the 50/50 rule is no longer really in effect...
Ok but which way do they mean to have the see saw sway?
