I'm pretty sure about this. TSA is interviewing people for New Castle DE airport security because (it is said) that DL is going to begin flights to ATL. US had service to, I think, West Virginia(?) in the early 90s that fizzled. I wo9nder what's up with this.

DL announced several months ago that they would start service to ATL from ILG. I think there will be 3 flights/day all on CRJs. The announcement even caught the Airport by surprise. The director of the airport was quoted as saying something to the effect of "we had no idea DL was looking to start service here and now we have some work to do to get ready for them."

I live in Wilmington, but will continue to fly from PHL. 3 flights per day doesn't leave too much flexibility in case of a cancellation or weather delay.

I doubt US is looking at ILG, but I wonder if now that MBNA was purchased by BofA if there isn't enough demand for ILG-CLT service?

I don't want to fly DL at all. ATL is hideous.

I'd be happy to fly from ILG on anything that connects in CLT. Eager even.

Actually DL is going to operate 2 daily flights, rather than 3.

The US service was into CKB or Fairmont, I can't remember which. There was some industry demand for it, again, can't remember the total story. I did think it was odd until I heard the reason though.

2x daily ILG-PKB, operated by Crown Airways (one of the companies Mesa swallowed).
