What's new

DON'T GET REAMED.......

yes, the Best in Class statement is a killer. Destroy your base and everything will run well.

Local 562 was well over 90% in both 2003 and 2010. So most of the guys at work who said they were voting No did vote No.

Tom I know about TUL and local 514. Been trying to help change things for many years.

If you were out in the savanna and a Lion was looking at you as if you were lunch would you still be worried about "the unknown"? Look at what they are proposing, its a career killer. Six more years of this crap? To make matters worse it gives the company free reign on everything from cutting heads to outsourcing to bids to who works OT. Its not as if we are getting anything of value, we are committing to be the lowest paid in the industry we are losing the DB pension that we more than paid for with our Holidays, Vacation and sick time. They are actually taking another vacation week!!! On top of all that we are also agreeing to do whatever it takes to make AA "Best in class", as they insure we are worst in class. The deal is so bad even management described it as "ridiculously bad".

Once again, it seems that I am not allowed to post what I THINK is the problem without being lectured to.
How many times do I have to say I support your sentiment, Bob?
Am I not allowed to have my own opinion as to the vibe I am getting speaking to other people?

I am fully aware of what is at stake. I know EXACTLY what I lost and EXACTLY what will be lost.

Once again, the point I am making is that there are scared people.

When people are told that they have to wait and see what either a NO vote or a YES vote will result in because even LAWYERS cannot give a definitive answer....Yes, BOB, people will still fear the unknown.

How's this? I have enough seniority NOT to worry...I am of an age not to worry as much.
But people are still scared. I AM NOT!

Tom and Bob: Obviously the contract yes votes and the AMFA no votes haven't seen things your way. If you want them to "save the profession" you better show them how it also saves them. These groups just want to get out of AA at retirement age with as much as they can. The big picture doesn't interest them.
Somebody better break this contract down into simple facts and show how it will affect the guys that will not be laid off, then get the info off of this forum and into the members hands.

That is exactly what we are trying to do.The info here should be discussed in every dock, shop and breakroom in the system. We all need to talk to our crewmates as professionals.show them what this vote means in real terms, not FEAR terms.

Mr Barry, I'm a FSC in DFW and have been for almost 30 yrs. I doubt very seriously you have met me, let a lone know anything about me.
Yet for some reason you seem to like calling me and other DFW FSC's "Red Necks". Just from your posting, name calling and attitude toward folks who you may disagree with you tells me everything about you. All I can say is if you are known as a dad, parent or mentor to anyone, hopefully you do not instill the hatred you so prominently display.
