His bags came down the belt and were picked up by a supervisor and put on their own flatbed , then driven with a ramper while a sup sat next to him up to the plane where they were loaded last , while all of this was going on another sup was standing at the plane watching the whole operation until the plane left the gate ... geeez it's like they don't trust us to do our jobs ... just because people don't like the way this company is being run doesn't mean they are going to resort to illegal activites ... i feel like it's JR high all over again with the sups watching us .

Perhaps somebody should remind Doogie who the real (3 D.U.I.'s) law-breaker is.

Isn't DoUgIe still on probation? If so, how does he get allowed to travel outside the country? Prefferential treatment I would presume.

Probation does not necessarily mean one cannot travel outside the jurisdiction. It simply means one must seek permission to do it.

Parker is a lot of things. A flight risk (in terms of not returning to Arizona) is extremely unlikely.

DUI laws must not be all that bad in AZ. I had a friend on his first DUI, lost his license for 90 days, parole for 18 months. He did a program that reduced is lost of license to 60 days and paid to have that Breath Machine for the Car, to bring it down to 30 days. His parole was still 18 months but was a kind of formality. He just had to report if certain things occured. I wouldn't think that DUI they would even worry about flight risk. Only if involved a death then they would balk.

Maybe he reads the boards and was afraid that HIS bags would be mishandled like the customer's bags are. What's good for the customers is not good for him. I overhead two F/A's talking the other day how he was on their flight and drank and drank and then slept. Not sure if it is true, but funny nonetheless.

Just have to know how to play the game my 4th DUI all I lost was my Lic for a year.
By the way it has been 16 yr since I last drank. And yes things are a little different now, but the game is the same.

Give the guy a break, he admitted he made a mistake and paid the price.

But then again, those from the OLD USAirways never can put the past behind them? They still have to find something to complain about. Do US all a favor and end this ridiculous banter about his drinking incident, he is human..and I am sure those pointing fingers have a hidden past or have done things in life they regret.

Get a life already!

You have got to be kidding me! This is his 4th DUI for God's sake. I would have learned my lesson after the 1st time. He's the CEO of a major airline (which he and his boys are destroying). People have been fired for less. No I am not giving the guy a break. When you are the CEO of a company you are "on" 24/7. Would you have a job if your mug shot was all over CNN. So much for the "Corporate Code of Conduct" book. I burned mine in the fireplace last week.

If he can't learn from his mistakes in his personal life, how can anyone expect he will learn from his corporate mistakes?

It certainly isn't preferrential treatment he is getting. I think the man finally realized his employees are disgruntled and dislike him, forcing him to have bodygaurds for his bags so that bad things wont happen to them or bad things end up IN them.

He didn't want to witness Philly losing his luggage. This way he can say "All is Well in Philadelphia, I transfered there and MY bags made it".
