Doug parker Flew out yesterday

Saw Al Italia was in really bad shape maybe up for sale!!!
I very much doubt that any U.S. financial institution would lend US money to buy a maximum ownership of 49% in a foreign carrier - especially Alitalia. A more reasonable possibility, althougn almost as far fetched, is Parker negotiating for several of Alitalia's 777-200ERs.

More likely he is simply going on spring break with his family, and a nice Chianti and some Fava beans.

Job Interview with Alitalia!!!:

Bloomberg News, Reuters, The Associated PressPublished: February 9, 2007

ROME: The Italian government said Friday that it had removed the chairman and chief executive of the airline Alitalia, Giancarlo Cimoli, from the board of the troubled airline and named a well-known lawyer to succeed him.

The Italian Treasury nominated Bernardino Libonati as chairman of the airline's board, which was dissolved last month after Jean-Cyril Spinetta, the chief executive of Air France-KLM, stepped down.

Cimoli's name was missing from the list of five members the Treasury nominated for the board. It was not immediately clear if Libonati would also be named chief executive.

Cimoli's dismissal was not unexpected. Rumors of his impending departure had swirled for months.

The Italian Treasury owns 49.9 percent of the Rome-based carrier and is looking to sell a stake of at least 30.1 percent. (Reuters)

Doug was actually looking for ways to make things worse at US. It's is sole purpose in life. I'm sure there was not another employee on vacation the same time he was in Italy. As a matter of fact I bet there was not even a single employee calling of sick or skipping a trip because they just didn't feel like working. Doug should be forbidden for taking anytime off from his job. He probably left instructions to call him if Tempe was running out of ways to make life difficult for everyone.

You made me giggle.......thanks 😀

Give the guy a break, he admitted he made a mistake and paid the price.

But then again, those from the OLD USAirways never can put the past behind them? They still have to find something to complain about. Do US all a favor and end this ridiculous banter about his drinking incident, he is human..and I am sure those pointing fingers have a hidden past or have done things in life they regret.

Get a life already!
Yes you are so correct....if it were you or I,we would be gone....screw off dude....
