Fleet Service MSP

You would be better off at Wal-Mart.

Dude you are so negative. My oldest son worked at Walmart, so I know that it is by far worse then US.

If you do not like this company quit, If you don't then don't give anybody your two cents. If more people cared about US, maybe just maybe it would be a better company to work for.

I would rather work for US then NWA anyday!!!



Serious question here: What made you decide to come back to aviation after almost 20 years?

Oh it was not 20 years, more like 9 months as I worked for another airline in catering, for 5 1/2 years.

I grew up in the airline industry. My father worked for Western for 14 years, went to Republic and retired from NW a year ago. For a total of 25 1/2 + 14 = 39 1/2. I worked at Republic and NW for a year after the merger. I worked for a ground handler for 2 years. Total of 10 years.

I was once told I don't have blood in my body but Jet A.

That's physically impossible. Blood transports oxygen and carbon dioxide. Jet A is a petroleum derivative; there is no way it can support life if it functions as blood.

How about working for an FBO over at FCM?

You could walk to the time clock from your car in less than a minute and there’s no TSA to tell you can’t have mayo on your sandwich.

Not interested in an FBO, I want to work around airliners. But thanks anyway.
 
Just an update, I have been cleared to work for US Airways, MSP Fleet Services. I am waiting for a date to start training in PHX. Many have said to work someplace else. To that I say, too bad. I am very head strong and when I want something I go for it. I hope to be able to make a difference here in MSP.

I know I will get flamed for the last comment.

If the airline business is in your blood, go to work for whom ever you want. I was with TWA for over 10 yrs started in RES, went to the ATO and was invited to be a FA, never thought I would want to be a FA but I applied out of 10,000 applicants I was the second hired. I flew for over 6 yrs first as a regular flight attendant and then as a FLIGHT SERVICE MANAGER, I got to see the world and I am very glad I did so, when AA bought TWA I got my walking papers and went on furlough, I tried flying for AirTran but it was a joke so I went to the ATO. Left there and went to American Express, I missed flight benefits so much I took a job with USAIRWAYS in Winston it got me back in the business and I know have flight benefits. So with the medical benefits and flight benefits I am back where I was 5 yrs ago, pay sucks but I have a side job where I make more than res so it works for me. SO moral to the story if you want the flight benefits GO FOR IT.
