Once again all mechanics here are certified A&P's
The FAA is there to make sure Northwest is sticking to its promised program, which was initiated to replace its union workforce. This means all replacement workers will be A&P certified. Each mechanic will undergo training for the type of aircraft he will be working and the ground support equipment required to service that aircraft.
I am fully aware that this contract will end as all contracts do. My employment on this contract will end when this strike is officially declared over. Then I simply go home or if I wish, call the contract company and go on another job, or if I wish rollover direct and become a employee for Northwest. Oh how I love having all these options open to me and don’t even need a union to get them.
