Geez Dell, I thought you were smarter than that. Granted the intent of his statement is pretty funny but that is not what I was saying was funny. Read it again.


The nation cannot be secular and run by radicals. It's either one or the other.

I didn't find it all that funny given that a great deal of the upheaval in Europe has to do with immigration and Islam. France has already banned certain aspects of traditional Islamic garb for women. Most businesses owned by native born Europeans will not put a person of color in a customer facing position. The level of racism in Europe is staggering, just not blatant like it was here. Much more subtle.

Newt may have a good message but I'm not sure it resonates like it did at one time. The "Contract With America" was brilliant but that was 16 years ago.

Its hard to get true coverage of Islamic issues in Europe from the media here.....we have sensitivities you know......on the net, yes.

That was my point Hawk, thank you for reinforcing it.

Regarding Newt, sure he has some 'baggage' I suppose.....at this point in the economic issues at hand, its coming down to who do you think can turn things around and has the vision and experience to get us moving on. At some point we need to get beyond this crap and look at the resume.Newt could be one of the most qualified running. No matter who is running, look at the slander campaign from the left and that will tell you the degree of seriousness they regard to that particular candidate.

It will be an exciting primary no doubt.

True enough, I've been there either 11 or 12 times, not sure as I had to have my passport replaced. They look at us in disbelief over things like Bill & Monica. I was shocked at the level of racism and intolerance. The Ann Frank Haus had an exhibit on Free Speech and I'll never forget the scene at the Utrecht Soccer Stadium. Utrecht was playing Ajax, the Amsterdam club who have the unofficial nickname "the Jews" due to the large Jewish population. For almost the entire match the Utrecht fans shouted in unison, "Hamas, Hamas give the Jews the gas" over and over.

To think I gave up my Eagles Season tickets because the guys next to me used to scream "Hey Jaworski, Throw the ball to a white guy". Could you imagine the furor here if an event similar happened.

I was referring to news Mr Peabody......getting news from anyhwere other than here on issues like Islam in Europe is a lightly covered subject on our news media.
