Never posted about catering trucks that would be 700 who keeps carrying on about that A330 that a vendor struck at his beloved CLT.

Josh
Oh yes you did, you specifically asked him about BWI and if PMUS has catering there.

Do you post so many lies you cant keep track of them?

Guess you lied and still didnt go to dinner, lol.

And it wasnt a catering truck that struck the A332 in CLT, it was a cabin servicing truck driven by a lead cleaner from the vendor that performs the work.

You truly have a sick obsession with me, that you have go bring me into a post that has nothing to do with me?

That's awful assumptive on your part. Have you asked any of the campaign leads in your base? Reached out to any of the national leaders?
Of course he hasnt and wont, just wants to slam the IAM and unions without actually trying to get the answers to what he seeks.

You cant calculate dues until after the IAM is certified as DL has to provide the wage rates per employee in each base and the IAM isnt entitled to that information until they are certified as the certified bargaining unit.

Once again its easier for BABA to attack the IAM instead of asking a question from the right people and getting the correct answer, he follows WT and Josh as the gospel.

By working for DL they are free to unilaterally change benefits and compensation. The IAM BABA would be paying dues to provide a service, the IAM is working for BABA..
It is a grave injustice of even a single worker is forced to join a union or pay any amount of an agency fee just to remain in their job. It is wrong if even a single worker at a company is forced to pay against their will.
Josh
I would defiantly pay approximately 40.00 to 45.00 a month to insure that I and the company have a set of rules we BOTH have to follow!!! Not being fired at a supervisors discression, gaurenteed yearly raises, work rules that are clear , vacation pay , sick pay and accrual, just to name a few. Yes you bet that's a small price to pay each month for my peace of mind!!!

Top out is $53.52  x 2  =  $107.04.   far more than the $60 figure we are hearing.
Again, 700's telling us each F/A will have to pay a different due amount.  First
time EVER hearing this.

I never said each FA pays different.
Each base will have their weighted hourly wage calculated off of the information DL provides.

So if one base is junior it has lower paid FAs, if a base is senior it has higher paid FAs.

Their are five ways dues are calculated, since FAs pay is not the same as a 40 hour work week, it might be calculated differently.

I will look at how its done at XJ and post it if I can find it.

Here is a link to the IAM constitution for you to seek some answers from:

https://www.iam141.org/docs/Constitution2012.pdf

In the IAM constitution it provides the ways to calculate dues.

Starts on Page 130 of the book itself in Adobe is says page 130.

Believe it or not I'm NOT trying to play "Gotcha" with you.
Thank you for providing the link

Thank you for FINALLY answering my question
If DL will provide the wage information it can be figured out.

So ask DL to send it over to the IAM and then you will know what the dues will be.

We might not see eye to eye, but if you want to know something I will do my best to provide it to you.

And if you are based in NY then you know why I act the way I do, born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island 20 minutes from NYC, and unfortunately this thread is very confrontational due to people like WT and 737823, myself and you.

We all are to blame for that.

Yes it is.

And just for frame of reference, my dues at the time of the merger were $46/mo.

I highly doubt they'll be anywhere near that figure. $40-$60 is much more realistic.

One thing of note: I would (and will for ACS) push for dues to be the exact same regardless of base/local.

Here is what they use to pay at PMCO, and their wages were higher than DL's I believe:

Dear Continental Flight Attendants,

You may be aware that the Union dues increase on an annual basis and this year is no different. We
are writing this letter to you in order to explain the dues increase for 2011. Effective January 1, 2011, the dues rates for Continental will be $55.71 representing an increase of $3.00. This increase is on the Grand Lodge and District 142 amounts only – your Local Lodge portion of the dues remains at the pre-concessionary amount $7.62 per member, per month. Your Local Lodge leadership has acted, to the best of our ability, to limit the impact on the membership while still preserving our ability to provide the services you expect – therefore you will not see any increase in the amount you pay to the Local – We have provided a breakdown below. Further, your Local Lodge leadership understands the importance of equality and unity amongst the three Locals – therefore all CAL Flight Attendants, in all bases, will continue paying the same amount.
