enjoy it if the day comes... but don't be surprised if the DL FAs play the IAM like they have played multiple other labor unions.
We don't need to talk about......we are both smart enough understand.WorldTraveler said:no, the NMB has cards that are PURPORTEDLY valid for a majority of FAs.
You do realize that DL has been to this rodeo before, don't you?
If dawg says that DL doesn't want a union and you think that DL only paid premium salaries to keep the unions out, then you two need to figure out why DL is going to pay the FAs above average when they unionize.
pss... it ain't happening.
all of that "they can cut it at any time" becomes reality.
why? you and Josh are literally the only people who seem to think this is an issueWorldTraveler said:don't forget to tell them how much you made as a union organizer and how their union dues will also be used to support the growth of the IAM machine.
the butt hurt is strong in this one.WorldTraveler said:hope you're (please note how it is properly spelled moron) not planning on spending any of that DL FA money anytime soon.
better question....why does it matter?Kev3188 said:Why do people still act like this is something to be ashamed of??
now the Delta employees are the enemy.WorldTraveler said:so will I.
I don't even need money to do it.
just the satisfaction of winning against the enemy who sometimes loads the weapon used against themselves.
this. I am way over qualified for what I do....700UW said:Lav Dumper?
Really?
Gee is that the best you can do?
I am also a former Air Cargo Agent, A former Ramper, A former Ticket and Gate Agent, a former Utility and Stock Clerk.
If you think its an insult, its not.
I also was a trainer for all Utility and Utility Foreman on all the Airbus A/C.
I also rewrote the whole Aircraft Appearance Manual in regards to aircraft servicing, I did such a great job I was offered a job in Tech Docs, but didnt take it as I didnt want to move to PIT.
I also wrote and starred in the training video used.
So keep up the lame attempts.
One's classification has NOTHING to do with their Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skill Levels.
I was a member of the IAM/US NC for M&R and also on the CO FA NC in 2005.
You are a person with a serious obsession about your FORMER employer, you too a buyout and ran, and now you regret it so this is your only connection to DL.
You need serious mental help.
excellent.From a DL FA.
Yep 12,000 FAs and rising conspired to play the IAM.
You are getting unhinged with each post.
and I'm still looking for the answer as to how DL could have both been paying a premium to DL's non-contract employees - which Kev has repeatedly said and I happen to agree with - to keep unions out and will continue to do so if the IAM wins.
topDawg said:Again this is all because you are pissed they got the cards you said they wouldn't get. Once again you are made to look like a fool and you are butt hurt about it.
Yep, that's an inconvenient truth. 60% of the electorate is considered a mandate, no?...Kev3188 said:Meanwhile, let's remember that the majority of the F/A group have petitioned to have an election.
aw I hurt your feelings.WorldTraveler said:excellent.
did they bother to tell you or you remind them that the FAs have voted 3 times for unions - and the unions have lost 3 times?
I'm sure since it was the AFA before, it has never crossed your mind that the IAM will be played just like the AFA was.
no, dawg, it IS worth talking about.
If there are people on here who believe(d) that DL only paid salary premiums and maintained job protections in order to keep labor out, what is the incentive for DL to maintain that when unions are voted in?
the obvious answer is NONE.
DL has no incentive to continue to work to maintain the jobs of employees esp. from the dead tail airline or to throw them money any longer. It is apparent that AA and UA's unions couldn't stop wave after wave of outsourcing over the past several years so even if you argue that DL is bound to do what its competitors are doing, then some DL people might be wishing for a very hard freeze because the ice they are standing on is pretty precarious.
no, DL employees are not the enemy.
and your characterization of me as a Leo-phyte further validates where the friend/enemy lines really are drawn.
he is just trying to push more fear.Kev3188 said:What about it? No reason to think a positive relationship w/the FA's won't happen if they're represented. I think you're selling your alma mater short.
more name calling and belittling from you in this thread. At least you are consistentWorldTraveler said:you know, E, what is most enlightening is how you have been reduced from actually taking positions on the industry to being one to just side with anyone that you can in opposition to me.
you don't stand for anything anywhere but you sure do stand against me and with anyone you can any chance you get. Have you decided you can't compete in the marketplace of ideas anymore and so don't try?
The DL FAs are smart enough to know that they win more by threatening to unionize than actually doing it. there is a big step between threatening to jump off of the Golden Gate Bridge and doing it.
DL FAs are more than capable of knowing how far they can push, how much they can get, and then climbing back down before they take a step that will ruin everything that they have enjoyed.
No one has yet to be able to answer the question as to why DL has any incentive to pay its employees better than average before seeing any evidence that they are delivering it.
the reason it can't be answered is because it is obvious the DL FAs will lose by unionizing.
the IAM will be made to look like the fool that they made the AFA out to be.
As I've said a few times, it's just not worth the time and effort responding to him anymore.topDawg said:And if you do start something don't be butt hurt when people tell you their honest opinion of you.
Love this! Might have to steal that one...topDawg said:. Don't start nothin, wont be nothin...
Yeah, pro Union or not, I'm fairly certain most F/A's would be insulted by the idea they're hysterical and have to resort to tantrums to push for the reforms they want. The ones I know are forward thinking professionals that want what's best both for their profession and the carrier.the good news is WT is not Delta. He doesn't represent the way Delta is or thinks. So for anyone who is thinking that he is a representation of Delta Air Lines or how Delta operates have no fear....
Today I was reminded that resolutions are sometimes hard to follow...eolesen said:As I've said a few times, it's just not worth the time and effort responding to him anymore.
