cant think of a better place to get as many folks involved and who knows may be the iam will also become a union for the hotel folks   😀 🙄

Red Lion hotel? With the vast resources the IAM has at their disposal they couldn't go for the Hilton or Marriott or something? Why don't they hold these events in the same caliber of properties the executive council stays at when they travel for Union business?

According to the Unite Here Union website this isn't even a union property.

Josh
Maybe you should just get over to WCDFA, and ask. I'm sure someone will be willing to help.

Josh  I believe the whole Kip has awoken many to seeing what the clowns running DL does and I believe that is what will help propel ACS to become union   and that's on top of the fact that while DL has more ML at more cities  it does not mean the entire ramp is DL      parts of it is outsourced.  Now why is that?     bec that's what the Walmart airline does since they don't have a union
and yet DL has more stations with its own personnel on the ramp than AA or UA... and that doesn't even include above wing where DL has many more stations than on the ramp.

and DL FAs don't vote in unions... they threaten it so that they can get the bennies thrown at them.... why would they actually want a union when the company keeps throwing stuff at them w/o a union?

3 FA votes at DL, no union.

and I'm sure at the SEA meet and greet, the IAM will be sure and point to their success at protecting jobs at AS in, wait, wait, SEA.

and parts DL ramp is not completely mainline fool   I know that for a fact jack

WT raises a great point the IAM couldn't stop AS from outsourcing true "protected" work at SEA, that's a fact and the bottom line. The IAM may have prevailed in the arbitration but AS ultimately prevailed with lower costs and as they stated in their 10K they can maintain the lower paid Menzies workers. Seems a lot like 700s prized Airbus arbitration where the IAM won but ultimately lost.

In 2006 NWA wanted to outsource 75% of international flying to foreign nationals? One of the old AFA4DAL has it online from the AFA drive in 2009-10.

Correct me if I'm wrong but at the time of the merger DL did not have any overseas bases, correct? Even the "staunch and militant" United AFA allowed their very own members to be furloughed while lower paid HKG and SIN based F/As enjoyed prized long haul flying. NWA had several foreign bases as well.

Josh

The IAM won the arbitration against AS funny how you leave that out all the time.

Reread my post. The members didn't get their jobs back and AS paid an insignificant amount of money to appease "the fighting machinists" and enjoyed long term cost savings. Who knows maybe they'll do the same at the remaining stations? It's only about 650 people left.

DL had a BOM base that was inherited from Pan Am... the last remaining overseas ex-PA base.

DL is now the only US airline that does not allow any foreign FAs to work longhaul flights that touch the US.

US brought RES back from OVERSEAS!   and that was with the CWA     Secondly the IAM PMUS secured much improved contracts for FSA.   Scope has been enhanced   Insourcing BTW work for both AA/US in cities thru out the systems.    Guaranteed pay raises vs a non union airline
more money going into a pension

I hear the FAs filing right after the new year, and hopefully the momentum will carry ACS to file shortly after.
And more rumors......
To be honest I'll be surprised if enough cards are sign to enable a vote.
Too bad the IAM doesn't have an open door policy regarding the card count.... Makes me wonder what else they might be hiding
