I do know that he was told by DL to not talk publicly - the same regulation that DL has applied to other employees multiple times before. The media reported that and he hasn't challenged that fact.
the IAM won't get Kip's job back. He broke company regulations which he was counseled about in person.
DL might pay him to go away and keep his mouth shut but he won't get anything if he keeps talking. I can guarantee you that. And that would be the same whether it is DL or any other company.
