True. But one has to wonder how long this can go on? We all need to just sit back and enjoy the ride as its happening.
till they start taking it back again.

Just curious now what if anything UAL is going to do?

That house over there is a real mess.
mess is nice
its a s**t show.

now that they have a new boss hopefully good will come to them.

Also wonder how the stockholders will react?
stock should be just fine. Everyone will be happy to see the change in PS.

UA is a trainwreck... New CEO seems to be saying all the right things, but it's early.

As for DL shares, Wall Street likes labor peace...

profit sharing was the trade for our pensions.

so yes. I care.

not sure why you are happy taking more concessions in this airline environment. Crazy idea here but how about we get a raise and leave the PS alone......?
My 6.25% pension was frozen and replaced with a 5.5% 401 match on every dollar earned. I upped me contribution to 20% and if these raises do come in plan to go much higher moving forward. If we match your new formula (possible) it's not that I'd be saying I don't miss my pension but I'll be ok with the future.

I don't have PS any longer and it was always a dud with us anyway. I can't pay bills with PS, only play catchup and they won't give me a loan on what I speculate I "might" get at the end of the year.

What's best for you is what's best for you and we might just think a little different. Besides when WT comes back he won't be able to crow about the golden PS goose any longer.

Oh and another thing Dawg. I wish you would stop talking about any possible Union drive for maintenance. I know that you don't want one and are happy and I have no interest in trying to convince you otherwise. My interest is ACS. They are the ones who need one BAD, IMO.

Go to sleep on this note. No matter what happens with any announcement tomorrow, we welcome the positive and will work harder than ever to put it in writing. It's time to add 22,000 plus FAs to the labor movement. We are the ones who push positive improvement. We are the ones who demand positive change for not only our company; but for the middle class of this country. We are the ones who hold the moral obligation to have each others backs for fairness, equality and respect. If any great announcement comes tomorrow, that's wonderful. Be positive, but realistic about it and declare that we deserve it. It's long over due. We demanded it through our solidarity and hard work. We made this industry great again. And most of all.. Get those last cards signed and verified so that we get it all in writing! The days and years of living off the benefits of our hard work as organizers and unions hard work are over. No more 'threat' talk. We are adults. We need to organize and have a union democracy for ourselves. Welcome any improvement with grace and pride and get this vote finished! ‪#‎IAMproud‬https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/iamproud?source=feed_text ‪#‎IAMsigning‬ ‪#‎IAMjustice‬

What does an airline do when employees ask for more security and predictability in their pay while still sharing in the company’s success? Simple—it restructures its employee compensation to put more in base pay while keeping a profit-sharing plan that will provide employees with double-digit payouts when the airline meets its financial goals.

Delta announced today that it is increasing most employees’ base pay by 14.5 percent while continuing to offer a generous profit sharing plan. The company also is increasing its 401(k) dollar-for-dollar match from 5 to 6 percent.

In a memo to employees, CEO Richard Anderson and President Ed Bastian said, “When combined with the April (annual pay) increases, pay rates for most employees will be up 18 percent or more in 2015, providing you with record pay raises in a year of record profits. Few companies can match that.”

At the same time, Delta is projected to return about $3 billion to shareholders for 2015. Meanwhile, the airline continues to pay down debt while investing in aircraft, onboard experience and upgrading facilities worldwide.

Here’s what Delta shared with employees today:

1. Delta is responding to employee feedback by putting more money in base pay.
Base pay rates will increase by 14.5 percent for all eligible merit, ground and flight attendant employees around the world on Dec. 1. When combined with the April increases, pay rates for most employees will be up 18 percent or more in 2015, providing record pay raises in a year of record profits.

2. Profit sharing is here to stay.
The new profit sharing formula, for payouts in 2017 and beyond, shares 10 percent of profits until the airline matches its prior-year profitability and then pays 20 percent of profits, with no limit.

3. Delta increases match on 401(k).
Delta will match employees’ 401(k) contributions up to 6 percent of pay starting Jan. 1. With automatic and matching contributions from the airline, which together can equal up to 8 percent of employee earnings, the total will add up to 14 percent of an employee’s earnings.

Wow, what are you going to do about it?

I am so scared, NOT!

Its all over the web, sue me, lol!

Guess you shouldnt think.

There are cards coming in everyday by both groups.

So do you think everyone is fooled like you?

They took money away from the PS and put in in the raise.

Just rearranged the chairs on the deck of the Titanic.

FAs are still strong and want to be members of the IAM.

I am having a great day, this changes nothing.

Very glad DL's employees are getting a raise, thats a good thing.

But nothing is guaranteed that DL wont make any other changes, like they have done before.

But if there was no current union drives in ACS and FAs would this happen?

Mostly likely not.
