"I am Dennis"

I honestly don't know what PATCO 1968 was.

PATCO 1981 was an ILLEGAL Strike, and IMO, a very stupid thing to do.
They had very clear language that made striking illegal, cut and dried, no debate.

Yes..Illegal! Yes...

But the unions in this country should have saw the writing on the walls towards the anti-union sentiment finding seats in the congress. It became solidified in the years following dergulation and war was officially declared with Patco and again in 1983 when Lorenzo took CO into bankruptcy and slashed employees/benefits/wages in most cases 50%.

Illegal or not, the unions stood by idly....Then again more recently when the IAM folded like a cheap leisure suit under Congressional threats of jail time for union leaders resulted in not following through in support of the Eastern Mechanics.

Like today, at least one union for it's membership.

Not that we have turned another thread into something other than it was to start with via hi-jack...

What has to biggest farce of all time, is the AFL-CIO and it's affiliated Union pumping millions of union workers hard earned money into the political arena while getting nothing of real value in return for over 50 years now. No wonder they don't represent the membership well either, they are well trained in getting NOTHING for what is paid for. :angry2:

What's Dennis' status? Still employed or did they can him right away?

"Gutsiest move I ever saw Mav"

A KRMG website report had a comment concerning Dennis.

By Dan Potter

If you're looking for a job as an airline mechanic, there could be at least one opening at American soon.

This was the lead intro to Mr. Potter's story.
Seems rather crude on the reporters part.
