Why do we have an AMT with hire date 9-96 getting paperwork and an OSM with hire date 7-97 not getting any? What''s the deal with that? By the way this is in Tulsa.

I know this is somehow related to the question you asked. Beyond that, I dont have a clue.

This could have happened, because of what I call the get layed-off first benefit.

The contract requires that a person be given a 2 weeks notice for RIF.

We had O.S.M''s, with more senority than other O.S.M.''s layed-off. Simply because the O.S.M., that got layed-off first bumped out a Aircraft cleaner. Now that person has to have a 2 week notice. SO the Senior O.S.M. could not bump out the Aircraft cleaner.

The less senior O.S.M. now retains 2 weeks time in Aircraft Cleaner. If that is the group called back first. This person will be called back first.

The person with the most O.S.M. or A@P time will be called back first.

They will catch up with the person with less time. It will just be delayed 2 weeks.

The union claims this glitch can not be changed until they open contract again.

There have been mistakes made in Tulsa.
