Save the bandwith of this thread for the RESULTS of this vote. I think everyone has had weeks to digest all the propaganda from everybodys posts, we are all set in how we are voting today. Stop with the last minute pleas...just go vote, sit back and watch history unfold.

Good luck Fleet! Yes or no, we are gonna need to stand strong after this day, because we will have bigger battles ahead (think merger). Once the vote is a proven result, we need to stand by the results and stand strong together.

Is it that i brought up that ugly reminder of CMH being drawn down by america west airlines ? EDIT: what i mean by this is the fact that under the TWU contract a HUB was downsized .. this means our scope is not the golden bullet .

I feel strongly that i'm right here and that these same people who fought against me on the COC,IBT,IBEW are once again wrong , and that their misguided attempts to get more and more will cost many on the east coast their careers by going under the sixty day bus .. i know that we're going to get cut here on the west , but at least our people will have a fighting chance to come back ... apart from my own self interest in getting a raise , i feel strongly about the sixty day rule , and if we were in their contract tomrrow i wouldn't change my views on the worth of the COC , or the sixty day rule or pretty much anything i've stated , excpet for one item .

So no , thank you , i'm going to rage rage against the dying of the light .

Vortex , your a grown man , you should know that this merger is to downsize , people are going to go away ... nothing can stop that ... also you must be new because you don't remeber what happened to CMH ....


One last thing , if your in arizona what are you so scared of ? if you lose this job you can go to your local golden arches and be making about the same if not more than your making now ... our ecomony isn't nearly as bad as other parts of the country ...there are still MANY help wanted signs out there , so realx and don't let these guys get to you .... we COULD be downsized , who knows .... are you going to vote every future raise and contract improvment throught the years down based on fear ?

My wife likes Safeway and the closest FRYs is in Chandler and she doesn't want to drive that far. I have been talking around and think I have you figured out. I picked this job as a way of getting away from the arches. I wish you would see how bad this is going to be for us. we won't be around long enough to enjoy this. I don't have enough seniority to hold when the people come pouring in here. And I'm not talking about the east, I'm talking about our own. You have your headstrong mission though and dont' really care about who you impact so I wish you well and I would rather not work next to you. Just my opinion!

Ok your statement on the Safeway makes sense to me . That’s still pricy if you ask me …

Vortex , I don’t believe that you can be Bumped out of a job by these people who will come in from the field stations .


Also , I want to remind you , this is a merger to shrink capacity … I truly don’t believe that there is anything you or I or our scope can do to save our PHX station … did the TWU contract save our coulombs hub from being downsized ? Do you remember when many who had worked at CMH came here to work ? If they could do it before , then they can do it again .


While we disagree don’t feel that I’m the one putting the knife to your throat .. This is just the way that mergers work I guess … I’d rather go down fighting than not … and don’t forget , I work in the same station that you do , which means while I’m not new , I’m by no means completely safe from downsizing either .

oh and as for the impact , i'd like nothing more than to see some DECENT jobs here in arizona besides the low paying ones .

Ok , I’m done for the day , but to all yes voters wherever you may be … do not decide not to go and vote because someone on here says that the station your in is a “landslide†no …or that the votes “already been decided “

There is such a thing as election day politics and a tactic that underhanded or desperate people will sometimes employee is the fake perception that their side in the race is winning and therefore it’s a waste of time to cast your vote … cast your vote irregardless of anything you read or hear … vote …
