My wife likes Safeway and the closest FRYs is in Chandler and she doesn't want to drive that far. I have been talking around and think I have you figured out. I picked this job as a way of getting away from the arches. I wish you would see how bad this is going to be for us. we won't be around long enough to enjoy this. I don't have enough seniority to hold when the people come pouring in here. And I'm not talking about the east, I'm talking about our own. You have your headstrong mission though and dont' really care about who you impact so I wish you well and I would rather not work next to you. Just my opinion!

Certainly you have skills to go somewhere else right? Do not think that this is all you can do. What you have now is pathetic if you can justifiably compare it to McDonalds!

From what I have read your only concern is getting a little extra money in your pocket and no one can blame you for wanting that. But what I do not understand is how you will be able to swallow that ribeye you buy knowing that it cost my job and all I have to offer my children is Ramen noodles or cheap sh!t mac and cheese from Safeway. If you are a yes, stop sticking it in my face just go and vote, but stop scaring my wife and kids.

I beg your pardon....you are kidding me right? Could there be more no voters posting on this board? Could Roa's vote no sign be any bigger? Could Tim N. put more propaganda out there? Could they ridicule yes voters like freedom any more on this board?

The story I’ve been told is that a member of our first NC (initials GB) made sure it was classification date because it helped him out with his seniority? Since classification has been in our contract since the beginning it would cause harm to some members and benefit other members if they switched back.

That is the main problem with our seniority system. It was originally DOH, then it went to classification, then it went back to DOH. Those of us that are sandwiched in between the DOH's still go by classification. That is what is so unfair. Everyone should go by the same system. We don't. And we are about to add another piece to the puzzle when we merge lists with West. I can feel the animosity brewing now.

If this question is directed to me, I doubt it. If anything it was a deal worked out with PHL and PIT, which left the rest of the cities out of the equation.

You are right and probably fortunate. This is a terrible industry to try to make a living and I would not recommend it for anyone young or raising a family. I say that you are "fortunate" because you are near the tail-end of your career for which you have already experienced loss of pension, pay cuts, multiple moves, working holidays, and for what? A job that even at its best was a decent job, but hardly, a great job.

This isn't a job for which one should rely upon, especially considering one could be topped-out, company closes, then one starts back at the bottom pay again with another airline. Consider if one had a job that required an education or specialized skills, then the huge drop in pay wouldn't be as much as those jobs typically don't pay more based upon longevity. This should be a side job for most people in the future, but it won't get easier as companies have figured how to use contractors and government has become less tolerant of strikes, in general.

By the way, good turn-out so far, and it appears the naysayers are properly waiting their turn to vote tomorrow.

People have posted what their stations are voting. how do we know? are people watching each other vote? or are they just "Saying" what they voted. I'll hate to see a majority of people at the end of today say we have the NO vote and come next week we are surprised with a YES vot.

Remember what a UNION is people. Don't put your needs ahead of your brothers if it means putting them out on the street!

In case you don't know a lot of people in PHX are almost on the street. That is why any pay raise is so attractive, they have protested at corporate but has PHL or CLT? NO!!!!, but they'll stand in the way of the so called UNION FAMILY on separate pay scales and vote no!!! Some family, turn your backs on your brothers and sisters all the while making more than the WEST! Shame on you all in the East. Where was our so called UNION FAMILY when we said intregate the East and West pay last year. Oh that's right we heard nothing. Again UNION FAMILY turns away!

Your right we didn’t help in the protest. Yet when did I find out about the protest, the day after it happened. We need to get on the same page, if you have something planned tell us about it and we will support it. We wanted you on our pay scale, we wanted one airline. We are not standing in your way, Dougie is.

I just got in from voting NO & from the way it appears looks like a big turn out & everyone voting NO.

Don't count your chickens before they roost Coach. I am in CLT and voted and while I will agree there are a lot of NO voters, you can't miss them. However, it is the quiet ones that have said little and just show to vote. My bet is that a majority of them may be YES votes.
We'll see!! Thanks to those who at least showed to vote whether YES or NO and those who take their time to man the polls all day....
