IMPRESSIONS OF INCOMPETENCE

Why do I feel the one being targeted? There are far more posts from SIGNALS that have been far more offensive. Am I wrong?!

I don't think he's targeting you but you're definitely indenting on Richard's Radar.

FAs dont "clean" they tidy up the cabin where vendors or the ramp dont clean.

The seatback pockets are suppose to be cleaned on the RON cleaning.

Just tells you Tempe doesnt oversee the vendors.

Such cabin cleaning duties shall be defined as, and limited to, the following:
collecting papers and refuse in the cabin of the aircraft; crossing seatbelts; stowing
pillows and blankets in the overhead compartments; removing visible items from the
seatback pockets
; and collecting and stowing magazines as applicable. A flight
attendant will not be required to perform such cabin cleaning duties after the
conclusion of his/her duty day.

We don't really "tidy" either. Rather, I prefer the "kick and hide" method..... 😛h34r:

Here’s another Impression of Incompetence.
Looks like there are some leftover tidbits if you’re still hungry after your crappy F snack.

Again, you have flight attendants trying to "tidy" these aircraft on 37 minute turns, all while trying to grab something to eat and prepare for the next full flight. Let's say the plane does 7 or 8 flights that day, and it is cleaned at least 6 or 7 times by FA's on 37-45 minute turns, full every leg. Pretzels crushed all over the floor. What do you think the plane will look like? If Tempe cared about this, they would evoke the ever popular "side letter" saying the plane would be cleaned, (at least in the hubs or something!), by the contract people.

Simple. They don't care.

I don’t know what the FAs can do about armrests that are so worn out that the black underlying material is showing through.
True. I was speaking to the filthy aircraft in general. Nobody cares. It's absolutely incredible.

Speaking of tidying let me stray for a second. I was just in LAX and an agent there with 20 years (original US) asked if we were ready to board. I said no the other two f/a's are eating and we have over 5 minutes still. He said we were oversold so the 35 minute rule applies. He was DEAD serious. I said we don't have such a rule and have NEVER heard of it. THEN he goes to say he doesn't understand why flight attendants don't clean on every leg regardless of destination. He said, "Do you guys still have that ridiculous west of Kansas rule? As he rolled his eyes. I said, "Yes we do, anything in YOUR contract we can violate today? He said we only had that rule when we had hot meals so we should clean now. 🙄 The guy was nice but a bit disheveled, white hair and raspy voice. Again a mellow guy but WAY out of touch. There isn't ONE senior Momma that commutes out of LAX that he'd try that crapola with. He THEN said, "Well I hope your ready to deal with bags". Ummm is this a threat? I said if they don't fit they go down below...pretty simple. If you watch what comes down the jetway we won't have to worry now will we. UNREAL. TOTALLY UNREAL. 🙄 Oh ohhh wait...then we had open seats and he wanted to close as we were on time but had nonrevs in the gate area. HOLD THE PRESS. We put a captain in f/c as he wouldn't upgrade the woman who asked in coach. Just a SUPER D DUPER GUY.

Could someone be so kind as to forward the recent About US newsletter that addressed the “Not Essential to Flightâ€￾ items to me at n965vj@yahoo.com? There were some interesting points in there, but I would like to make a direct quote. As most of you know, I no longer have access to TheHub, and only current issues are available at JustPlaneNews.com.

Also, keep sending in those pictures to n965vj@yahoo.com. I just received a shot from a camera phone that I’ll share a little later.
