That's exactly what should happen in that case. And I expect my PHL reps (ALL THREE) to do exactly the same thing. If the protections are not there, the MOU should die at the BPR level before even offering it to the membership. The "let my daddy vote" crowd can go stick it!
AMEN!

Ha! What's the matter SCABS...did someone take away your fake union? Cry me a river. The CLT inbreds are apparently to stupid to understand that no matter what....read that part again....NO MATTER WHAT, USAPA is an absolutely meaningless "participant" in this proposed transaction.

God I love watching the CLT scabs eat sh&$t.

I have no problem with the BPR holding up a poor MOU.

Just don't forget one of the principle reasons ALPA was shown the door and that was the MEC cutting the rank and file out of the decision making loop on such critical decisions as......pension.

I agree, but the BPR hasn't even SEEN IT YET! It's not finished! So why are they raising the alarm when they don't even have a MOU to look at yet, just second party intel?

I'll tell you why...McKee wants to be king and he doesn't care who it screws getting there. His little rooting section keeps him pumped up.

Someone else posted that they just talked to DiOrio Friday. Wonder what his beef is? Could it be he got canned? Over 5 years he was at the helm of the NAC and produced nothing.

Couldn't we just wait until the darn thing is finished before we pronounce judgement on it?

Driver...

Kinda like the elected leaders having secret trips to Tempe the first week in office?

This also happened when Cleary went west to discuss the possible UAL merger - and later in his term to broach a compromise solution with Ferguson, which I really did not have a problem with either.

Kinda like that?

I met DiOrio when he came to Phoenix to discuss the progress of the contract. He handed me a brochure which showed the total lack of progress and finger pointing.
It just reinforced my opinion of how dysfunstional this so-called union is. The problem was never with ALPA, the problem is with yourselves.

You're too busy pointing fingers to get anything accomplished.

That's why I used the terminology: "in that case."

Oh crap! You mean that President Hummel was required to get Bill McKee's permission to travel to PHX (the largest pilot base)? How does that differ from Cleary's secret lawsuits that were filed BEFORE the board was advised?

People in glass houses......

Well, he was definitely wrong about that! One side really liked the way the "award" came out.

Award, that's an interesting characterization!

seajay

Who said we "liked" the award? The number 1 AWA pilot (now retired) was placed permanently behind the top 517. Every AWA pilot lost some percentage of his/her relative seniority. The AWA pilot group originally thought that since the AAA pilot group was demanding DOH, that we should in turn demand a staple job. We then decided to take a more reasonable tact: Relative seniority. The Arbitrator thought that was a great start, and warned the AAA MC that DOH would NOT be delivered under an arbitration.

We simply looked at the delivered seniority list and said "Well, I agreed to the process as being a member of the union. So be it. Let's move on to get a contract that we can all live with."

Seejay, I get that the junior AAA pilots think that the Nicolau senority list is "unfair". All attempts (and then some) were employed to make sure that there was a way to revisit the list's tenets. The list was then delivered to the CEO of the company, and the company repaid both ALPA MEC's the funds promised to cover the process.

The biggest problem that I have with where we are is this: The AWA pilot group is being forced to help fund (via dues) the DOH chase. If the AAA pilots wanted to challenge this fairly they should have fired up some sort of assessment like the PIC. That would have at least shown some integrity.

CB

Why bother? Freighterguynow is a few boxes short of a pallet and is all telephone, no receiver.

Why do you think that? The west moves in single digit percentages on the NIC, but it is the only doorway through which an improved contract passes.

Why not tell your BPR they want the NAC to pivot to demanding Section 6 rights for the west pilots, if you're going to suck your thumb until you upgrade. The west could hardly claim a DFR over that.

Now forcing the west to pay for your little tantrum...that's another matter.

The American daddies voted. Aren't the easties that smart?
