July - US Pilots Labor Discussion

Just to hard to fathom how one could hate and not fully support his own co-workers, now that's what's wrong.

What's really hard to fathom is how a mature, responsible, grown man (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here) claims to take pleasure in provoking others for the sake of entertainment.

And for the record, not agreeing with your view of the world does not constitute in any way shape or form, one not supporting his co-workers.

I would have loved to get DOH, even though I was of the opinion that our strategy was dangerously reckless considering the circumstances. I also expected us as honorable men and women to accept the consequences of our collective choices and move forward. So far USAPA has caused far more harm to me, my family, and my co-workers than the Nic with an industry standard contract of short duration. By now we would be on the second contract much like Delta. Maybe even negotiating a third. We would ALL be making better than our current captain rates, instead of the few who checked out.

So your rants and attacks of all who oppose your view do nothing but demonstrate how your bitterness has blinded your reason.

Well...even as fantasies go; that's an impressive one indeed! What possible basis (within any aspect of actual reality) do you have for it though?

Secondly: Are you at all suggesting that accepting the nic at this point in time would benefit any of your co workers? If so; how?

Hi all,

A new development in Rebecca's battle is that she just joined an 8 yr study for Gluten intolerance, which researchers believe is related to the auto-immune gene which causes Diabetes. This study is being managed by the Barbara Davis Research Institue, along with the Children's Hospital, in Denver, where Rebecca participates in the research. She donates her blood 3-4 times each year and reports her bodily functions each day. I have not mentioned that she has gluten allergies in the past, just because the fund raiser has been focused on Diabetes until now. However, now she is on the front line with both diseases. So, if you have Diabetes, are gluten intolerant, or just have a big heart, pleace donate to her cause. Last year, thanks to many of you in my airline family, she raised about $11,500, which she got special recognition for. I can't tell you how encouraged she is in fighting this daily disease while receiving the support that you guys are responsible for...thx so much!.....it would be so cool to double that this year. At this point about $4,000 is where we are.

The 32 mile bike ride is August 18th, so there is still a little time.

A message from Rebecca:

Hey Everyone!

I want to say thank you for all of your support! I really appreciate all of your genorosity and thought. I feel like I have been called to fundraising and in a way, I think fundraising for Diabetes is my way of winning one of the many battles with this disease. For those of you who haven't donated, you still have plenty of time! The ride is on August 18, 2012 and I can't wait! We have already started training and preparing for another great ride. Every dollar is helpful and needed.Even if it is only a dollar, I will be greatful for your support. Your donations will go towards temporary relief from Diabetes as well as research for finding a cure. Thank you all so much for your time and consideration!

Don't make me dig up my "Loyality above all else............except honor" quote, I swear I'll do it.

LOL....And I know that's not any idle threat! 😉 Don't make any fast moves Jake!...Hmmm...perhaps we should just both keep our hands in plain sight, and slowly back away from the keyboards with that bit...and nobody needs to get hurt! 😉

I love how you bust our chops over the pay, wow you make a few bucks more and have brought down the industry since 83, OK we're the lowest your the second lowest, you win!!, but remember NO NIC for you and alot of upgrades over here!!!.
Once again your short sightedness shines through.

Once we get a contract. Either usapa or APA and we use the Nicolau. How many upgrades do you think the east will get until everything is in its proper place? You may have delayed this and gotten a few upgrades early. But enjoy reserve as west pilots upgrade to a more senior bidding position.

Or do you think you can stop a contract for the next 5 years and remain on loa 93.

Wheat and other grains have many problematic features: the top ones being…

1. They contain toxins that damage the lining of the gut
2. They contain compounds that bind to minerals, making them unavailable for absorption
3. They contain compounds that prevent absorption of other nutrients, including protein
4. In the refined form, they can drastically raise blood sugar and insulin, similar to sugar, and contain absolutely no inherent nutritional value
5. They contain compounds that interact with the pleasure sensors in the brain, creating addictive properties

Huh, you know there is no NIC with APA you have already been told that, where's that coming from, is there a transition agreement with the east that I don't know about? I said before I'm fine with LOA93 you guys are really obssesed with it. I know all my AMR friends want the NIC they to want to lose all their seniority. 😀 😀

Come you cheap pilots kick in a few bucks, help her out, I did.

You really don't believe that, like Delta, yea right I'm sure Dougie would have given us that. Why didn't Doug just say accept the NIC and I'll give you a Delta contract, that would have been simple, where have you been under a rock. I'm worried about you.

Like our flight attendants? What evidence did you use to come to this conclusion? To the contrary Parker has repeatedly said we could not and would not have an industry average contract absent a merger.

What part of your USAPA experiment has netted you ANYTHING? LOL!

Enjoy your upcoming 2900th day of LOA93 with no end in sight! Interesting fact btw:

USTUPID has been at the helm for more time under LOA93 than "the former bargaining agent"

HA! Idiots. Great job Bradford!

You're right, we're still on LOA 93, but the raises for a large group of East pilots have already started. It will only increase as we reach Dec 2012 and the 65's start their retirements. Of course, this is the attrition you keep trying to say isn't there. We all want better pay rates, but the attrition is worth more than the incresed rates. The attrition doesn't do anything for the most senior, but what you can't understand, the majority of those pilots are willing to protect their junior bretheren. They understand what the junior folks on the east have endured, you, not so much. Enjoy your higher pay, and the attrition which goes with it.

What if all the whites during the 60's had kept their mouth shut about racisim? Many that spoke up were called names and attacked for not supporting their race.

Thanks for the naturally much needed and long overdue history lesson on the sixties.....Were you even born yet professor? 😉
