At the Pilot for Pilot meeting yesterday, a pilot asked Gary Hummel if the pilots would get to vote on any agreement he is making with the company. His answer should alarm pilot here with how he worded it. They would get to vote on a TA, but not a MOU.
An MOU is a Memorandum of Understanding which could be binding on the pilot group here. An MOU is what he is negotiating. The devil is in the details. In law, there is almost always a built in exception to a rule. An MOU can be an agreement between USAPA and the company but falls through the cracks on whether we will get a vote.
This is why secret negotiations are so dangerous and why we are so alarmed. Stay tuned. Your future is being decided by people that may not have your best interest in mind.
Brought to you by the compass corruption boys, USAPA is now worse than ALPA was. Oh wait a minute they are the same ALPA boys, no wonder.
Don't worry, You easties don't give a whit about anything that is "binding" How about you just delay it for the next 5 years (while you get paid LOA93)
