Isn't this their third try at getting to the bottom of it?
The east has been at the bottom so long everything looks like up...

Isn't this their third try at getting to the bottom of it?
Here we go again...
I know the answer............Davis got his lump sum.
It really is funny how we keep arguing the same things.
Spot on. Arguing about the Nic is not going to get the courts to decide any faster. We came together in 2005, it's done. Keep looking in the rearview mirror we are going to miss the fork in the road with American.
Seeing the dysfunction within the union is concerning going into a merger. It's comical, like a scene from Gomer Pyle. I used the same Southern steriotypes used by Hollywood to point out the silly things going on in Charlotte. I've gotten to the point of just laughing about the whole thing and wait for courts to rule.
So there you have it, Pi, I'm Southern myself, born in Atlanta with family in the Carolinas and Georgia for generations.
Who knows, we may run into each other at Spondivits one day on an Atlanta layover. The question remains, who buys? We just have to wait for the courts to rule.
I'm probably as guilty of arguing about the past as anyone on this board. I guess it's ego, I don't know.
What you are seeing in the union is just a continuation of the last 20 years. Mergers and tough economic times seem to bring out the worst and after the PI merger and the struggles in the early 90's there seemed to be the need to place blame. Too many factions in this pilot group that don't trust the others.
I lived in ATL twice. Started 1st grade there, we stayed for about 6 months and moved on(one of my 6 moves with Dad for the airline. I decided 6 was enough, he made 4 more) then returned with a commuter. Lived in one of the Delta owned buildings on Virginia Ave. so Spondivits was a frequent gathering point for the crash pad dwellers. First round is on me.
The quicker McKee is gone, the quicker the union can move forward. Good job, Hummel, for changing up the negotiating committee.
RESOLUTION: USAPA representation at merger related events
Therefore Be It Further Resolved that during any event, public or otherwise, that relates to the proposed merger between US Airways and American Airlines, USAPA will be represented by either the Chair of the Merger Committee or the Chair of the NAC or the designee of one or the other.
...AND THE RIDICULOUS DELUSIONS CONTINUE
Like you guys had ANYTHING to do with it. You were along for the ride like everybody else.
Now, lets imagine AWA 5 years later minus the merger with US Airways. The yield from leisure travel in the sewer, losing your LAS hub, Southwest breathing down your neck when you fall back to your PHX hub. Yes Sir, you boys would have been sitting pretty, huh??
Yes we did go through two bankruptcies and your second one was just a matter of time. Have you forgotten AWA operated in bankruptcy from 1991 to 1994. You were the FIRST ones to take the government money from the ATSB. I guess things were tough all over. You throw these things around like you people were immune to them...you weren't and you aren't. get thisBetter BS out of your system before you "Move2CLT".
Driver...
Lookie here . An actual threat from a little old gray haired "man". I'm sure move is just shaking in his boots. What you plannin on doing if he doesn't get this BS out of his system tough guy ?

Whaaaaaat. Usapa does not have my best interest in mind. I can't believe it.At the Pilot for Pilot meeting yesterday, a pilot asked Gary Hummel if the pilots would get to vote on any agreement he is making with the company. His answer should alarm pilot here with how he worded it. They would get to vote on a TA, but not a MOU.
An MOU is a Memorandum of Understanding which could be binding on the pilot group here. An MOU is what he is negotiating. The devil is in the details. In law, there is almost always a built in exception to a rule. An MOU can be an agreement between USAPA and the company but falls through the cracks on whether we will get a vote.
This is why secret negotiations are so dangerous and why we are so alarmed. Stay tuned. Your future is being decided by people that may not have your best interest in mind.
Brought to you by the compass corruption boys, USAPA is now worse than ALPA was. Oh wait a minute they are the same ALPA boys, no wonder.
