Like when you said recent bids have had similar 190 positions?
Starting to catch on? "Similar" as in within 1/4 to 1/3 pilots per line and over the traditional 1.5 pilots per line. That's back through the last bid of last year - since the older bids are on my home computer and not available on Wings, that's as far as I can go back until I get home.
So as I said, overstaffing the 190 is nothing new. By how much varies a little, more when new hires come on board then dropping as people move from the 190 until they hire again. So where are the 190's such over-staffing is supposed to be an indicator of? They should have been here at least a year ago...
On the other hand, age 65 retirements start in December so which is more likely - US expanding the fleet with a merger possible or this hiring is to get people trained as replacements for those that will be moving from the 190 in greater numbers as attrition kicks in?
Besides, in typical fashion you took my guess (and that's all I said it was) and converted it to some kind of prediction guaranteed to be accurate. All for no other reason than to argue that you know better...
