We've made some headway but it's all moot now.

USAPA will be gone soon and our role in this merger is non-existent.

It sounds like there might have been some headway on a MOU to give at least some protections. But in the end you are right. Kirby was pretty plain at the PHX crew news.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

the scope section that I see on the term sheet allows between 50-88 seats 255 aircraft or 50% of mainline. Anything from 88-118 is a mainline group I aircraft.

The term sheet (not the LBO) says that the number of RJ's can't exceed 70% of the mainline fleet - US and AA combined have about 950 mainline aircraft so 70% would be a total of 665 RJ's. Of those, the number of RJ's with 80-88 seats (as AA operates them) is 30% of the mainline fleet or 285. Unless there's a lot of FC seating, the 190 is above the capacity limit for operation at Express, so would most likely be considered a mainline airplane so there's no limit to the number of them other than routes to fly - AA is not going to get rid of nearly every bigger plane and fly only 190's everywhere. Besides, AA has orders for 460 narrow-body Airbus/Boeings plus the outstanding US orders. If every mainline plane currently flying was parked, there would still be 700 new aircraft bigger than anything Embraer/Bombardier currently sell.

I have no idea where Phoenix is coming up with the idea of 800 190's - scare tactics by the Cleary faithful maybe. 800 190's would mean replacing all but ~150 of the current mainline fleets with 190's. In other words, everything but wide-bodies. Not going to happen.

Besides, I thought that APA was going to welcome the East pilots with open arms and gifts of DOH - couldn't have a 10-15 year "AA puke" put ahead of an East pilot "with 17 years of continuous service" (now 22 years)... :lol:

Well by now most anyone with a brain knows the AA term sheet is an piece of crap, so now we find out that is the reason DiOrio was fired, Gary and his compass correction gang wanted him to sell it to the US pilots but he refused because it sucked, (scope, selling 319's for 195's, etc....) . What the east pilots need to ask is why the west pilots support Hummel , any guesses on that... TOSI, POLLOCK, MOWERY (D), HUMMEL get the picture. And the most important thing to remember the union is not being run by Hummel ( he's a puppet) but by our former ALPA boys, Ciabattoni, Rowe, Mowery and a few others, LOA93 and a pension give away bring back memories?

Stop complaining and do something about it. But wait you would be going against the majority of pilots that voted for Hummel.

At least you could have McKee as president with Cleary running from the shadows instead of the other guys.

BTW. If DiOrio was such a stand up guy and refused to go along why didn;t he quit instead of wait to be fired? If what you say is true Colello should walk away too. Oh that's right he threatened to but back down when he was going to lose full time flight pay. Oh well there is integrity and then there is self serving.

How many 190 do you think we will get. Phoenix thinks 880. You with him on that number?
