If you are in a bar and you tell the lovely lady that you are a collector and have a yatch and a G 5, you might want to tell her they are just photos.

I just have a pic of my wife of 24 years. Not a pic of the Cherokee 6. A G 5 is a little out of my price range.

Quite obvious the anesthesia hasn't worn off yet.

You guys have been wrong on everything else breeze and chances are high that you were still high when you wrote your post.

MDA, DOH, snapbacks, LOA 93, work action, injunction...

...when will you ever learn?

Go sleep it off.

😀

No great surprise coming from you but it would be a lie to portray a mere photograph of something as the real thing - be it a G5 or a shovel.

Last I heard, one has to "strap into" the cockpit of a F106 even to take a ride, but maybe they have a special version for some east pilots that comes in either 5x7 or 8x10 sizes...

Jim

PS: "So by "strapped into"; you truly meant only as a passenger? Puhleeeze again."

Maybe the planes (of yes, then active in the U.S. military) you flew had overhead straps that you hung onto....BTW, I did get to actually fly the Dart for about 3/4 of my ride .the guys (and it was all guys back then) that flew them knew that without people like me they'd be fancy beer cans so took pretty good care of us.

Ummm...is there perhaps some dictionary "one" should continually reference to ensure an ongoing and entirely accurate understanding of your ever changing "definitions" within any/ALL conversational contexts?

No, standard english profeciency will do. However, one needs a program to keep up with your everchanging criteria that must be met - first you only wanted a military plane, then active military plane in the U.S. inventory while I was in the service, then merely strapping into the cockpit doesn't count. You're having a hard time finding some qualifier that will enable you to call me a liar again, it seems  Maybe you'd like to compare B29 time next....

Makes that "You'd be surprised at the planes I've strapped into" seem all the more truthful every day....

Jim

Did the non-rev Gods not shine on you and get you to Alaska? Surely you wouldn't waste that time on here.

1) Translation= You were too far above the ground and in the safe hands of an actual pilot to crash it. Who could fail to be anything other than utterly awestruck? 😉

2) "....seem all the more truthful every day..." That's hands down, the most downright delusional utterence you've yet made. Kindly explain,( if you're even capable of ceasing spinning like a top for so much as a moment), WHY you saw fit to even respond as you did? "BoeingBoy: "LOL You have no idea what cockpits I've strappen into." What POSSIBLE, conversational "point" were you even attempting to make with that? None have yet to read even the most pathetic excuse of any, even slightly reasonable justification for it....so...enlighten us all as to what your true and "honest" purpose was in making that reply? Your toy top's been spinning so fast it's getting dizzying watching it....so...as an act of pure kindness....just comfort all with a ready and sensible explanation for ever even typing that sad BS in direct response to what preceded it........???? What was your intended message or impression to be left to the readers from that? Hint: Since you fancy yourself as intellectually capable..the continuance of any additional effort at "playing dumb" will require some reduction in point scores here 😉

BoeingBoy: "I come from a generation that experienced Vietnam winding down where one couldn't automatically expect to move from a military cockpit to a civilian cockpit."

"As if you ever strapped into a military cockpit"

"BoeingBoy: "LOL You have no idea what cockpits I've strappen into."

More sensible, and far less delusional discussion could be readily had with a hyena on crystal meth methinks.....

mods: could we plz start another forum for this personal tet-a-tet, this is pilots "labor" discussion. I believe this subject has taken a life of its own. Needs its own forum, plzzz!

This much is perhaps the only philosophical point we can agree on. Any subordinate pilot that ever showed contempt to those that maintained, or otherwise were needed in support, did not much gain my favor....to say the least. I've previously defended your actual service as presumably honorable. Our "little differences" here have nothing to do with that in any way.

Understood and agreed. Out.

This is the closest thing we've seen to USA320Pilot's legendary, borderline insane assertion years ago, "I have experienced three furloughs..."

He'd never been furloughed but had merely been on the property when others had been furloughed.

I think BoeingBoy experienced military flying in the same way.

That seems pretty much the case here. Oh well...all that comes of this is more incessant BS and increasingly absurd spin by way of attempted "defense" anyway. No admission of the very obvious intent to posture and deceive will ever be offered, and nothing other than insanely infantile variations of yet more: "Oh!...Heavens No!...I didn't really say that!, or..umm..I didn't really mean it exactly like ANY rational person would clearly read it to mean...and...well...aren't I just so "cutesie, smarmy and adorable" anyway!?" It's a complete waste of time attempting any honest conversation with anyone so incurably entrenched in their own wholesale, infantile, and evidently incurable, Fantasyland BS.

His "life" would be over without web chat...perhaps it's just time for proper pity....
