Well, boys, I am going under the knife in the morning to get my gallbladder removed. I have gall stones and my FAA doctor says it's best to get it removed instead of needing emergency surgery while in Athens or some other foreign destination. Not a big deal.

However, if things get crazy and I don't return to the line, I just want to say...it's been a pleasure flying with your East guys......and you West guys can go screw yourselves!!!! LOL...kidding of course.

Its not a matter of who is smarter. Its an opinion either way. ALPA's premise was always that they were smarter than the members, and they gambled away $11M of dues.

Just like a judge or arbitrator. Their's is the only opinion that counts.

Just like usapa gets to interpret their C&BL ALPA gets to interpret what merger policy is. They determined that the Nicolau did comply with their policy.

There is absolutely no ambiguity but of course you take it to mean the opposite of what it says - as normal, You do love to pick out snippits to create a basis for an argument, leaving out the context of the whole message. I am a member of the Vietnam generation, as were those who portested that war. Being a member of a group that became identified by what became an unpopular "war" means nothing by itself, other than being born within in a certain range of dates.

You've a rather strange way of establishing "certainly, but not for me." FYI...."LOL You have no idea what cockpits I've strappen into" however surprisingly, falls "somewhat" short of establishing "certainly, but not for me." Even for military pilots of that generation (a subset of the larger group) one couldn't automatically count on moving from a military cockpit to a major airline cockpit (notice that "one" in there?). So that is an absolutely true statement.

So is the "You have no idea what cockpits I've strapped into." Do you see "military" in there anywhere (although you'd probably be surprised at the military cockpits I've strapped into - not been qualified on the plane necessarily but strapped into the cockpit).

So it's time to own up like a man instead of hiding like a child - my statements were accurate and you've called me a liar at least twice. I'll accept your apology graciously but expect it to be forthcoming...

For decades the lapdog advocates of ALPA used to answer dissatisfied ALPA members with an accusing slogan, "YOU are ALPA."

Indeed, they should have realized the members would eventually believe it. In the end, "ALPA's" opinion mattered the most and the self-important council that thought they were above it all lost $11M.

I had to read your post twice...I am not trying to be the grammar police here, but since you used the word "binded" instead of the more common bound...I mistakenly thought you were asking "the question remaining is whether USAPA is bLinded by the award or free to fairly represent its membership".

To which the answere would have been.....yes, usapa is BLINDED by the award.

It is the blind leading the blind on an endless chase of shifting shadows of how to best renege on an agreement its membership has amongst itself. So the reply to your real question can easily be answered.

Yes, usapa is "free to fairly represent its membership", but they are to blind to see that "fairly" means the Nic.
