June - US Pilots Labor Discussion

I earned a bachelor degree in engineering in 1973 at an aviation college.

That says it all. Not to slight aviation colleges since there are some fine schools that teach avaition and graduate fine pilots but don't produce world-class engineers. You see, I went to an engineering university where they do graduate real world-class engineers so I know a thing or two about slide rules since they were required equipment. A slide rule is nothing more than two logrithmic scales, at least one moveable in relation to the other, and a movable cursor line or dial can be added to improve accuracy. You can add scales (at least one moveable per two scales added), use notations or features specific to a given field (i.e. the slide on an E6- B), make it round instead of linear, etc, but it's still just a slide rule. An E6-B is just as much a slide rule as any that exist, having the requisite 2 logrithmic scales with one being movable.

Words just fail me here: nycbusdriver.....The, ahem "real world-class engineer" is all yours sir 😉

Absolutely. They are fundamentally important to the board success story. However, the reality in the Franke Circus is another matter. Move/Fodase is symptomatic of the Franke operation. Without this entity, the airline never would have evolved into the mess it is now.
Parker relies on these divergent and psychotic synergies to maintain his position.
It appears he is about to lose the American Merge Dream. Another lost merger will go on his record. I would imagine this will be his last summer at the helm if this were to be true. Horton is going to put a torpedo into Parkers ship shortly.

Just guessing here but I am thinking Move2 was hired prior to Franke and fodase was hired after Franke left. Could be wrong though. but I am certain claxsucker and his usapa scab buddies like Cleary, Bradford etc. are the divergent psychopaths Parker can easily ignore dealing with.

For instance, claxsucker is now posting that the merger is lost, that usapa is going to come out against with a WSJ ad. As if usapa was asked for their opinion in the first place.

Just another clueless usapa scab who has no idea of the position he is in.

I know, you said you "went to". Just curious.

I went to a university that produced many meteorologist, but I'm not one of them and I don't lecture people on weather balloons.

Ok.....that might have been the funniest post of the year! Don't be too hard on him Pi.....he just can't help himself.

The difference is that I was in the engineering program (aeronautical engineering, actually) so unlike you and weather balloons I used sliderules and probably know more than you want to know about them. Obviously unlike East, fa, and NYC who just want to take potshots at those they disagree with...

Were you one of them?

Not being a trained psychiatrist myself...likely best to just let this go.....

Here's my slide rule 😀 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TI-89_series

Sigh!...Uppity whippersnappers and all their "new fangled" nonsense...why..when I was a boy; we had to stack rocks to even count higher than any group's available toes and fingers allowed! 😉

That TI logo does bring back memories though..although the then, long ago "state-of-the-art" for my earlier time was initially a Hewlett P....which I couldn't afford 😉 As that's a '98 product..I'm sure that was far from your first as well 😉

I hope your young man's doing well. Take care/etc.
