What was it you were saying about potshots, PI...

After years of being the recipient of your's and others potshots I decided to play the same game. But it seems that easties don't like that - they want to take potshots but not receive them. As the last post by the poster child of potshot taking who resorts to twisting words to fit his lying ways exemplifies. I rest my case.

Jim

You should be out with the grand kids with a fishing pole in your hand instead of on these boards you old senile coot.
Really.....you got nothing better to do???

NICDOA
NPJB..

True enough, the APA has done a great job of managing their leverage with both Horton and Parker, very impressive! After they get finished squeezing Horton's balls they are going to go after Parkers', they know how bad he wants this deal and that he will pay more to get it. Problem is, at least for us, is that the more it ends up costing Parker, the more it will cost us in the "end" and I mean that both figuratively and literally!

Furthermore, it's not going to be much fun when the APA gets around to dealing with us either. Just ask TWA, Reno Air and Air Cal, MB not withstanding.

seajay

Yeah, now you will get a taste of your own medicine. A union hell bent on crushing the minority. APA, however, is much more organized and a lot smarter than ucrapa could ever hope of being. Yes, I know, westies are included in the abuse but we are well accustomed to it. We'll take our lumps while enjoying watching you take yours. All the while still hopeful that you will also have the Nic crammed down your throats, adding to your well deserved misery.

Such an angry you man, that's no way to live you need to call EAP and get some help and maybe take Fodase with you. Now take three slow deep breaths and say everything will be OK.!!!!!

Did it ever occur to you they want nothing to do with us and to be a stand alone carrier, if I were them I would take what I could get to avoid this mess that Parker has created here.
I think they do want something to do with us. They want that to vault back to number one. Of course it goes without saying they want that along with us in our proper place. Much like SeeJay said, MB notwithstanding.

And I don't have a doubt in my mind that they fancy themselves as having the wherewithal to virtually ensure it. Even with a full MB arbitration, they've got a lot going for them to make good arguments with.

APA should be able to staple the entire US Airways list to the bottom of theirs...all they have to do is vote on it and call it "democracy". Sound familiar?

Wow, all you westies would be 190 F/Os, if your were lucky.

I disagree with you the company might want to say that but the pilots I know at AMR could care less about what number they are, they just care about the number in the pay check.

Duh.....

I do not see how you think I would not have considered that. If I were an AA pilot, the second to last thing I would want is for my company to get infected with the idiots from LCC, particularly certain group of east pilots who are totaly clueless but not exactly benign.

The last thing I would want is to have my contract abrogated and get stuck with LCC.

But, see how this works? The APA has something called leverage. They have competing offers and influence. Want to know why, I'm obviously telling you anyway.

The APA, unlike usapa, is capable of bargaining in good faith.

usapa on the other hand, founded to renege on an agreement, failing the DFR to a full 1/3rd of its class, is relegated to meaningless, parked by the NMB, outside any sphere of influence, because it fundamentally cannot do anything in good faith.

Now back to the APA vote. I don't think Parker will come in with an over the top counter offer. I think he will tell them he offered what he could to make the deal and the airline feasible, and that their pensions will be in jeopardy if Horton can't turn things around and they end up not emerging, or worse yet , going for a second bite at the bankruptcy apple like US did.

ummm....

The APA would staple LCC pilots...but in Nic order....i.e. put the Nic below their list.

So..we would have some 398 of the top 517 that are still aqround who might hold an f/o narrobody line. The rest of us LCC pilots will be reserve f/os til retirement.

I guess that's better than being one of the 1879, (ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY NINE) pilots who were hoplessly unemployed with zero hope of recall before the West rode in on their white horse and saved them...putting an end to their multiple furloughs.
