May Transfers

I was at requal training this week and several people didn't show up and quite a few left after the debacle they call a base meeting. We have no uniforms, we can't login to Twin Hill so we're not able to order the new uniforms...we have no idea when the "generic uniforms" will arrive. We can't login to CATCREW to change our old info which led to me getting a NCT because my old numbers were disconnected. I told the scheduler I had no uniform and I swear they thought I was making it up. This whole recall is such a mess and nothing is organized at all.
I'm not scheduled to fly til 3/3 but they're calling me already. AUGH!
Im not so sure what you mean?I cannot, nor do i know of any flight attendant who can change their contact info themselves on CATCREW.Its called Calling scheduling/or Supervisor and give them your new Phone number. Yes there are major issues with Twin Hill..but let me ask you..have you called anyone? So many have done nothing and continue to do nothing just for the gripe factor. If you get a hold of a Peer Educator they would go out of thier way to at least try and Help..Give it a shot. If you are going this crazy now.....Maybe you need to makke a decision. Its always easier to gripe.. everyone needs an outlet, BUT we all have choices. 😀
 
There has to be a recall. If EVERY base is short, taking anybody out of a particular base is going to cause it to be SHORTER than it is now. According to the numbers on the CBS, the entire system is short 160 flight attendants. It doesn't matter where you shift them, it is STILL short 160 flight attendants.

And whomever started the post about moving again....stop stirring the pot. Nobody is moving anywhere.

We'll see about that. Get back to me after the 75 openings in PHL for May are filled with senior people and everyone under them moves down in seniority. The union has said this is not a temporary bid for summer flying only but this has been going on for years. As soon as the summer flying is over and PHL is overstaffed, a miracle will happen and they will once again be allowed to transfer back to their "home" base. It's never called a supplemental bid, but if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, well, you know the rest.

I hope I'll be able to say I was wrong.

As previously mentioned. Always contact your supv to update or change anything. I have called sked to give them new contact numbers, but that's about it.

I can't believe that you have no uniforms yet. That is just plane ridiculous.
Nevertheless, WELCOME BACK!! And I can't wait to fly with all of you soon.

I can't disagree with the "supplemental" thing, but I can say "I told you so" about the recall. You can find another thread on the subject. :up:

I am very glad to be wrong about the recall and I hope I can continue to be.

Why? Do you honestly think we need more reserves sitting around? Besides that... There are only 413 invols left. If it took over 1000 to get 35 to actually come back, I think they will not get all 160 out of the 413 left. Soooo.......... that means they will go to the Vols in inverse order and they are mostly ALL senior to us. :down: Assuming you are junior by your "Quickcall" name!!!

I'm not so sure they will get many of the vols to come back either. A lot of them left after this LTO was in effect and have had a taste of it. Remember some of those people are not senior.

Move up? Unless there is attrition, we aren't moving anywhere. You can recall 1000 people, but if there is no growth... Where are you going????

I get it, I get it!!!! The only place I'm hoping to go is this on a trip sheet: Quickcall B/H.

Even if it's an ugly 4 day on the 300.

Oh Heck no, I work for the government now and have no desire to return to this company. It is nice having job security and a retirement that I NEVER have to worry about taken away from me from my employer because they want to line their pockets. I still have alot of good friends at US Airways and I wish them all the best of luck, as do I you. I think US Airways is in my blood and I am so saddenned by what HP has done to the proud and loyal employess of the former US Airways. I wish them and you the best of luck in whatever option you choose as well. I have learned, there is life outisde of US Airways, and have since moved on. I just like coming on here to keep up with whats new to be honest.
