Merger Us/awa

Only sticking points in my mind are: a new name(US needs to go!), a new livery(Both HP and US liveries stink), and some good marketing.


US is ready for new livery!...in fact, paint removal has already begun!! 😀

Thats because the cheap paint jobs from a Vendor is pealing off at a high rate...and guess what...U is repainting...using rollers...no roller additive included because they have none...can you say...orange peel, or maybe fish-eyes. And what did I notice on the HUB, a job for an Apperance Supervisor, now there is a job that can be done from the desk. No spell :up: checkers please.

Bronner doesn't have any problem with that. They paint cars with paint brushes in Alabama.

No such thing as a staple job with 2 ALPA carriers. Now , if its AA and WN they seeem to staple or outright not take the employees. WN/ Muse.

I am not sure which labor groups you are refering to, but the flight attendant groups will be intergrated according to US AFA union. Constitutional bylaws require it and so does our contract and AWA contract with their respective companies. Don't think for one minute that any labor group will stand still and allow a staple job to happen without a fight.

I have also heard that AWA will have to get rid of some aircraft as well. Becareful were you people start throwing stones. US is not going to be the red headed stepchild that is brought into the family and gets pounced on. There will be equal negotiating and pouncing to "protect" on both sides. Don't wish ill on US, because it may turn around that you will feel some of those effects and you will go running away crying.

HP Guys: That's edzachary what I'm talking about. That wussy ALPA-"poofball" merger policy will be out the window the first day, first hour, first minute. You need to get some big lawyers to fight them and hope to God your CEO is on your side. Otherwise the U team will "f**k you because they can". Ala AA.

I don't have a dog in this hunt, but...

Be careful what you declare is or is not going to happen. Another option for AWA is to walk away and let U fall into Ch. 7. AWA does not need U. They are in pretty good financial shape--a little short of cash on hand, but they are not bankrupt or near it. If this merger falls through because the U unions insist on coming out on top, the roof will fall in on the Ch. 11. AWA is U's last best hope.
 
All of you AWA people only need to know one thing. If you merge with US it will be the end of the both of you.

AWA has been a scrappy player over the years, this is not a wise move. AWA will not be able to get from underneath the huge mess that will fall on it if a merger occurs.

And if seniority is the issue keep this in mind. Better than 75% of the US people have more time with the company than you do. If they dove tail you can take it to the bank who is going to get laid off!!!

Merging with US is a very bad move.. You will be out of money in less than a year.
