Now since you pissed me off let's never forget that the USA is essentially a meritocracy despite the Progressives best efforts to alter that condition. People gain votes by in effect being a better sales person. Apparently women and minorities suck at sales in the political arena.

Now comes the discrimination reply so I'll head you off. NEWS FLASH, the world isn't fair and you and I discriminte daily. When you choose Heinz of Hunt's Ketchup you discriminate against Hunt's. If you look at the ads from the 1950's you'd see lines like "Discriminating smokers smoke Camel" and so forth. People actually had vocabulary and could write using words with more than one syllable. When you learn that words often have more than one meeting you can sit at the big peoples table.

If the person doesn't adhere to your progressive dogma then you resort to name calling as all good progressives do when confronted with logic and reason. Did you forget for a large part of the history of the USA the right to vote, let alone the right to run, was restricted to the point it took three amendments to the Constitution to correct it. Even now there are states bringing back Jim Crow laws to prevent anything resembling a meritocracy from from taking place.

We have had 44 presidents and 44 vp's. Out of the 88 of them only one has not been white. There.have only been two females on the ticket both of whom were white. Electing one out of 88 does not mean the problem is solved. It just means there was one minority person elected to the White House.

And again I go back to the point that no one seems to want to address. Out of all the people in the US the republicans could not find a qualified person who was not a white Christian male?

Given how Mormons view women it is no surprise that a woman was not considered but that leaves quite a few possibilities other than a white Christian male. I guess if you are part of the republican base that just is not a possibility. How sad.
