well 700 , there is a new sherrif in town and he will listen to you. as for the rest of you, stop bi#chin and whining as to what type of a/c should be painted in a special livery. you all should be happy that they are even doing this at all. this is not typical usairways mentality. i guess we are not the typical usairways anymore in some aspects . thank god.

I can't believe Southwest hasn't jump on the NASCAR bandwagon yet. They are a major player in every other sport. NASCAR is based in Huntersville isn't it? They maybe waiting until after they add 40 flights a day from either GSO or CLT ....

Nascar is based in Daytona Beach, FL.

They have an offices in Charlotte and Concord.

95% of the race teams are based in Mooresville, NC. Mooresville is known as Race City USA.

The remainder are in Statesville, Concord, Huntersville, Winston Area and a couple in VA.

The 319 is a ugly duck no matter how it is painted. The 737-400 or by far the 757-200 should have the special paint job.

Oddly enough for an airline with a big CLT hub, US Airways no longer serves Daytona Beach with anything - not even RJs. Not even a codeshare on the United flights!

I'm flying into Daytona later this month (I work for a Grand-Am Rolex Series team and we race with NASCAR) and when I tried to pull up flights there, I was SOL. Had to book United. One would think that a Charlotte-Daytona Beach flight would be a "No-brainer." Then again, perhaps I can chalk that up to "no-brain" management. 😉

Roethlisberger was in serious but stable condition in an operating room, said Dr. Larry Jones, chief of trauma at Mercy Hospital. Jones spoke before going into surgery.
