new IAM update

 with the IAM you get 80.00 a year for every year you put in . Do these people know how much principal you must have to get this kind of money.

 Cwa get no penison. 3 % of gross wages ,
you have to work 200 yrs to retire.
I think that you meant to say that the IAM plan pays $80 a month for every year of service that you have, not $80 a year. The years started to count at the same time the IAM plan started, not beforehand. Had I not been furlouhged, and worked another 10 years I would have collected $800 per month from the plan. I know how much the IAM boasted about this industry leading paln, but they failed to mention that you still needed to be employed to be part of it. Having a pension plan coupled with outsourcing language, is pretty much worthless. 😱

Remember, this IAM plan is industry leading because it's the only defined benefit plan left in the industry. Kinda like a dinasour that is still hanging around for some strange reason. Most companies have moved forward with retirement plans that have evolved into more of a user friendly plan for the employee. Paternalism plans are mostly dead.

At any rate, part timers get about half of the $70month plan. And it's not guaranteed like the IAM sez. Suspensions of your benefits, and other restrictions based on if you desire to work after retirement age are 'pain in the ass' variables one may have to deal with.

First off: Part time is just that and NOT a real job!!!

I retired at 53 and 55 right now. I have been collecting for two years receiving $750 a month for less than 15 years of service. My pension has not been reduced because I am currently working. I am making 60 grand without overtime and a lot more with overtime. This doesn’t change my pension one cent.

You call this outdated!? What would you prefer for the employees? To receive next to nothing and retirement at 75 years of age?

I am doing pretty damn good for the little service I had vested. If I live another 18 years then I would have received 180 grand. I am investing this money so I will realize more than the 180 grand.

You are so nuts with hatred and the reason I post to balance your insane rants.

FYI...I have no problem backing up these facts with the paper work because I don't care who knows, but do care that others know the IAM is not as bad as you constantly preach it is on here.

Fortunately, your blatant discrimmatory and hate filled dribble on the common man to glorify your IAM High Priest is not shared by the masses. Your non-sensical and goofy chatter about a piss clam concession that you want to preach as a benefit suggest mental disturbtion and its accompanying brain washing is not far away.

Specifically, your ignorance about part-timers surprises even me. The fact is that part time is not only a REAL job but it's the ONLY job for thousands of IAM members. One thing that is now clear to me is that your 'doctrines' about people mirror the IAM's. Part time is not a real job????? Puh Leesssee! And save your endless IAM dribble that you can't even step up and put your very own name to.
I often wonder, why is it that I can post and stand behind my name, yet each and every IAM loyalist can't do this one simple thing? Perhaps it's not that simple since the masses don't support racist or discrimmatory views.

What is even more unfortanate or disturbing is that the IAM goes farther than you do and discrimminates against not only part timers but also those who don't work in hubs. The IAM was the 'pioneer' and led the way for 80% of US AIRWAYS stations where there are IAM members to be treated as second class citizens and its accompanying low ball wage. I guess if one is part time and in a second class city then they are really screwed by the union, as the member tries to do his best to provide for his family.

Then throw in the westies who make even less. Look, 700dude, I'm not the only one that finds the IAM as a communistic, company sidekick. Although you may not know this, the IAm knows this well and did everything possible not to have an election. IMO, less than 15% of its members would have actually voted for them. In short, they suck bigtime, as in horribly and most agree with this.

At any rate, Solidarity has left town because of the unions, not the members. Solidarity can only survive in an environment that preaches 'one for all' and 'all for one'. This is contrary to the IAM and its discrimmatory doctrines of division and 'sticking it to the member'.

You low life who want everything for next to nothing because you [accept] part time positions but want what the full time workers receive show your morals of receiving something for nothing mentality. You and the others like you received exactly what you deserved and to hang that on the IAM's back is like a little child screaming mommy mommy I didn't do it, he did.

It’s obvious you loathe me and my type because we have earned what we have received in this life where you want it all for nothing and no effort. Take a hike you freak, your true colors are showing now brighter than ever.

The IAM is the least of your problems, look in the mirror and start from there, but I think you’re already too far gone as per your crying posts on here.

communist orginazitons second rule is to suppress free speech and differing ideas, especially if it is better than their ideas, or calls for change to a free and open system....

You have to admit this guy really has got us on this one!

He post his name openly and is attacked personally I'd be very surprised to see some of Tim's opponents openly post there full name.

See if you read the US policy, you cant identify yourself as an employee on an internet message board.

And see ORD has been contracted out, so he has nothing to worry about.

Opps, I meant I believe Tim is no longer with US.

What difference does my name make when the truth is the truth. Tim telling everyone who he is just shows how foolish he is, on all levels! You guys are part time and want what full time employees receive. Since it won't happen the logical mind would move on, not cry on here ad nausea about how bad the IAM is. If the IAM wasn't there you wouldn't have what you do already have and in FACT it would be less! Grow up children. NOTE: Past practices at Philly prove you are all still in the embryonic state and not even children yet.

niether are you, but you insist on pushing you diatribe on us, yet you do not want him to express his views... where is the mod when you need him... 😀

700iam ft/pt what difference does it make, pt'ers still pay dues and should have the full benefit of the union as anyone else does. why is it good that pt'ers are outsourced, the union says they are trying to get back outsourced work, yet we hear from UW that even more is gone, all the while the Union says that the company does the staffing and the union has no control...
which is it going to be!!!
lastly, has anyone in the union discovered that while it would be best for no pt'ers ( due to the thought that a pt will replace an ft, thus lower wages etc...) that now they will just outsource ft jobs... then where are the wages going...

Wages are going where ones education or trade level is located whether that is high or low level and also whether your education or skill level is in short or high demand.

The unions can't determine where you are located on that reality scale, that part is up to the person it means the most to, yourself and not the IAM nor any other union.

This is the why of my remarks of growing up because in most instances mommy and daddy taught their children these facts of life. The union is not your care giver but reading the constant whining on here sure make it appear that way.

The mod men are not blocking my posts because they make perfect sense and are perfectly logical, to anyone who has the ability to reason that is.

700iam is a great witness to the IAM. His endless dribble diatribe calling people low life's for being part time is consistent with the IAM High Priest that he serves up to.

700iam appears to be a supremist like many others who talk down to people and think they are superior. And when someone believes he/she deserves something, 700iam doesn't think them worthy. Typical of him and other IAM supremist. I was just wanting to 'root him out' so i furthered the conversation for that cause. Since he has been found out, I have exhausted my opininon towards him under this thread.

I stand up behind my name, something neither 700iam nor the other silly 700 could EVER do because of their lack.

You're dead wrong. Most crying on here deserve to be called what they are.

Some folks took advantage of being part time as a door to open other opportunities whether it was with U are something completely different.

One of the best foreman I had who is still working in Pit started out on the ramp part time. He didn't cry woe is me but instead went to night school while working and after a time landed a nice mid level management level job. He survived all the cuts because he was the most deserving.

Many posting on here are not grown up and are unable to handle their PERSONAL matters. They blame their lack of drive and ambition on the IAM or something else maybe even their spouse. The world is filled with people who believe others owe them something.

Make something of yourselves and become a [deserving] union member and be glad you have what you have. Right now you’re doing nothing with your life except blaming others.

Tim you’re the leader alright, leader of malcontents promoting more of the same. You should be ashamed but instead you bask in that twisted place where you live.
