What's new

New US AIRWAYS uniform....

Someone has to wear test so it makes sense that the people involved with the uniform process be involved...at least some think it makes sense...Let's see...we need people to wear test...should we ask those who are involved with the whole process, someone who has volunteered their time away from their personal lives to get involved...or we could just ask any ole FA who has never made the effort to attend a single AFA LEC meeting...volunteered any time to help in the AFA...and usually just spends their time complaining about how things work, rather than get involved and make a difference....

I think it should be a mixture of people. This is not some "prize position" this is something that we have to wear, and people who are involved with the uniform process may be a little to close to it to be able to be objective about it.

IMO mixing it up will give you the best feedback.

DING DING DING!!!!! No more callers. We have a kool-ade drinker.

Sort of like the galley packouts? Similar process? 🙄

Bottom line: if you complain, we don't need you...everything has already been figured out, so don't ruin it

I'm just saying I'm tired of the same ole people doing all the complaining and not putting any effort into trying to fix the problems....It's easier for people to complain and not make any effort to fix the problems themselves. It's easier to find fault than compliments.

The wear testers will be getting feedback from the other FA's they fly with. They will have opportunity to see, touch and try on stuff. ie...If I'm on a trip and have my sweater, you can bet I want others to try it out and give me opinion.

If you would like to become a wear tester, then why don't you contact your supervisor or AFA LEC and ask them about it. What's it going to hurt to ask. You won't get the opportunity to do it by talking about it here.

I spent months talking with people on my trips, asking them what they want in a new uniform. Then I took their opinions...not just mine...to the committee members. Even if it was something I didn't like personally, I still took ALL ideas to the table. Just because I won't wear a particular style doesn't mean I'm gonna keep it from someone else who would. (ie the vest..I can't stand vests...but some people like them. So I took drawings people gave me to show)...

As did Stan Herman...he went to the people in each base and asked what they wanted...I was surpised in a base of 1500 FA's that only 100 or less showed up to talk to him personally. So if you can't make an effort to come in and give your opinion...well...

sure some were working...but not 1400 of them

BTW...I find name calling immature...How old are you? the one who called me a "kool aid drinker? Again, can't find anything nice to say...so it's easier to complain. whatever..from the other posts you've made, I wouldn't expect you to suddenly change your attitude and say something nice.

Are they nuts? They look great...for a spring
wedding! I feel for them.

So where are the Pics of our uniforms???? Does anyone know what is up with it? They said they woud be posted on the hub by the 28th.

Thanks for all your hard work. Now let us put this new uniform issue in perspective....oops...it does not fit, not even in the slightest. This is a dead issue. Do not order it, do not wear it, and most of all..do not talk about it. Wear your cuttent rags until they fall off. Then, maybe only then, will Otis and his boys realize the value of true employees. Best, Greeter.

I wish there were as many flight attendants as passionate about the Local 70 election as they were about fitting their FAT A$$ES into the new uniform. UNREAL! ! ! Oh yeah lets add EMBARRASSING. 🙄

did they by chance serve food at the roadshow?

No the sure didn't. I did find it funny that most of the models went to lunch right before the show. I said, "Don't they know that they are to starve themselves then vomit while smoking". They need to get it together. Nobody likes a model with a pouch. Ummm well scratch that last part. The room was so crowded towards the middle of the show it was like a welfare office on check day. Some really nasty mean looking folks. We truly are a mean, disgruntled group of flight attendants. You can CLEARLY pick out the nice folks. They are FEW.
