This just speeds up the process of foriegn ownership, which will save the airlines but probably will take away US jobs. I hope our government will not give into this kind of solution but I believe that it is supposed to happen by about 2010 anyway. I believe it was part of the agreement with the "open skies" deal. The Europeans agreed to open skies now if the US libralized our foreign ownership laws by 2010. Our government will probably us this crisis as an excuse to do just that.

The only problem with that Bears is that most Americans do not view their own behaviours as causing this increase in the price of gas. We are quick to point to things like "the tree hugging libs won't let us drill our own oil" to the greedy oil companies to congressmen in corporate profits - but most never look at the two SUV's in the driveway and accept they might be part of the problem. A democrat or republican can't "solve" this problem.

On that note I think we should also look at the people that have homes that are bigger than they need. We could be wasting energy heating and cooling more space than we really need to live in.

You really should get something self-propelled. You selection above would require a tow vehicle. Not very eco-friendly

Chinese/Asian connection buying up oil at top dollar prices is the reason....that computer you post on is made of imported oil/all that plastic crap nowadays is oil.....not just those nasty SUV's dude......

Don't forget those fuel hungry turbines polluting the upper atmosphere in Pounds Per Hour.

Dude...did I say ALL of the problem? No, I sure didn't. I said "part" of the problem...you disagree with that? is it all the fault of the Chinese? Us prices have lagged global pump prices because of the taxes that Europe has charged for years. Remember?
