Go read the RLA, you have to jump through hoops to get the board to release you in order to strike, and look over at NWA, they showed AMFA what a strike can do.
Unless everyone honors the picket line a strike means nothing these days.
Work by the book during negotiations is more effective.
When the IAM M&R CBA became amendable back in 1995 it took us four and a half years to get a new CBA, the board would not release us.
