* in the event layoffs come into the picture DOH should apply, in my opinion.
Thanks
Pers,
That brings to mind another scenario. When 911 happened and we had mass layoffs, all across our system there were agents being layed off in their city while agents junior to them were still working in said city. That happened because of classification dates instead of DOH. Now how would you feel if you were hired p/t on 1/1/1990, went f/t on 1/1/1994, with an adjusted date of 1/1/1992, on 12/30/1991 John Doe gets hired f/t from the streets. You were hired 2 years before him, but he is senior to you. Here come the 911 layoffs and you are the last one layed off, while John Doe is still working. Is this fair? Hell no. But that is how it was then, and that is how it still is now. John Doe also gets to bid shifts and vacation before you. But you earn more vacation days than him. If you need to hear more scenarios, just let me know. I have a bunch of them, and they are all true.
