So if it is happening why did you post it on the Internet for the whole world to see?

And I doubt it is happening, if you are on the clock and leave too easy to get caught.

Why would you post on the whole internet to see that you would bet some f/a's have a nice mini bar??? You better watch out for that fence post it may get stuck when you slip jumping the fence....

Since we're on the topic of goofing off in Moon Township, how much is a decent 1-bedroom apartment going for there now? Moon never appears on the apartment search sites.

You've got to be kidding!!!

Anyone who engages theTruth on this farfetched issue is a benedict. What goes around comes around.

Truth,

You think folks on here don't know who these posters are????? Not a wise thing to post on these boards.

etops,

Go to "professional standards" first. That's the place to present these issues for resolve, so if it is occuring, it will stop. They will keep those reporting strickly confidential.

first of all . i will never go to managment with this. its partly their fault this is happening anyway. i am not going to proffesional standards neither. i am just leaving this alone. i just wanted people to be aware of whats going on. i will not and repeat will not rat anyone out to managers or supervisors. that is not for me to do. i just hope that the people who do this are not only hurting the company but their fellow employees as well.

Too late,

Now you have an edited by moderator who have read this thread and posted on it so now something will happen in PHL about it.

I could stay with family. Considering if I ever buy, it will be in West Virginia or Ohio and commute to escape the property taxes.

And your point is? Do you feel this is wrong or not?

I guess it is only wrong for F/A's to have fully stocked mini/bars? (Your words, not mine)

BTW, I wouldn't be overly concerned. To do something implies that some one in the tower might actually have to go to PHL to check it out and we both know that isn't going to happen. Right Al?

In the meantime the nightmare called "PHL" continues and nobody really cares......

AND QUITE FRANKLY IF YOU FEEL SO STRONGLY ABOUT IT AND HAVENT FOLLOWED THROUGH YOU ARE JUST AS GUILTY AS THE OFFENDER.....I THINK EVERYONE GOT THAT BUSSINESS ETHICS TRAINING CLASS
I SURE HOPE NEXT TIME YOUR OFFENDED OR FEEL THE NEED TO ACCUSE SOMEONE ABOUT SOMETHING THAT YOU ADRESS THE SITUATION WITH THE PERSON, FIND THE FACTS......AND THEN TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION...SEEM LIKE THE ADULT THING TO DO.

BY THE WAY WITH AN ACCUSATION LIKE YOU MADE YOU SHOULD HAVE THE BALLS TO SIGN YOUR NAME TO IT.

I don't have balls, I don't work for U and you frankly you don't have the facts! Both employees spoken about are able healthy individuals with a constant problem - children and their schedules. It seems a thing called work gets in the way of having them home sick, soccer, basketball tournments and whatever else conflicts. Some may be necessary, but most os pure abuse! Moon is a small community and I wouldn't live there for many reasons one being - I'm gonna shout back now - EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!!! (taxes too!)

Am I the only one who is still scratching his head at the earlier posts in this thread about workers who have been caught off the property while on the clock, got fired, and STILL got their jobs back through the efforts of the union???! (700UW's post #3) What am I missing here?

And 700UW - you set a double standard here - first you admonish etops for posting this type of info ("This is not the place to air it if it happens"), but then you go on a mini-rant about F/As stealing. Explain your thought process behind post #3, please.....

Then in post #7, you basically do it again, as if to continually steer the topic away from your friends on the ramp -
"Stealing is stealing, I have witnessed and I bet many F/As have a nice mini-bar....And there are more F/As taking water and soda then PHL rampers not being at work while on the clock."

You basically make an accusation, back it up with your eyewitness account, and also throw in some editorial (e.g. minibar comment). How is that different from what Etops did in post #1?

You reinforce it in post #9:
"I have seen and so have others."

Do you have something against the F/A's? Are not all union brothers and sisters created equally? I have a hunch...just a hunch....you KNOW that similar abuses happen amongst your own union but you could NEVER bring it up here. Not because it's "not the place" to do it. You already lost credibility on that point earlier. Instead you've set a double standard because you have no problem outing a group that seems to be an easy target for you since your jobs will never cross.

I've been known to report to my early morning departure aircraft very early to drink my PURCHASED coffee and donut without the commotion of the crew room. On occasion, I've come across a ramper or agent in the galley cabinets looking for the stray bottle of water. I don't really care about it. Yes, maybe it's technically stealing, but with everything we've all been robbed of at gunpoint (figuratively,) I can understand where they're coming from. My guess is that, if one goes into the ramper, agent and maintenance breakrooms, one would find the coffee bar stocked with the EXACT SAME coffee and fixin's that are found on the airplanes. Did all those non-crew employees manage to purchase these things from the distributor?

The Company is not concerned about drinking sodas/coffee/water/snacks etc.. ON the a/c. Or poping a can or water and drinking it and finishing it off in the break room. What they DO NOT, and I wouldn't either, is anyone stocking up and taking these items home.

Flight attendants are lucky to be able to drag their luggage home with shopping items they purchased while on a trip let alone cans of soda. After so long, one can't stand to even smell apple juice or even look at those snacks, especially a pretzel let aone eat some of it. YUK. I won't even purchase these snacks at a grocery store they make me so nauseas to even look at.

After 4 day trips, and lugging the luggage all around, over heads, etc...I wish I could walk off the plane and leave the luggage there for the next day or next trip, and just take a tooth brush with me for the overnight.

I was in one of my last classes finishing up my degree and a lady in my class always came in with 4 bottles of water for her and her friends. One time she was asked where she got all that water and wasn't it expensive for her and she said no, her husband got it from where he worked. When we were leaving class one day her husband came and picked her up. Guess where he worked? US Airways!! He was in a ramp uniform. After doing a little digging I found out he was in catering and he wasn't alone in doing that.

Aero,

Let's be realistic...it happens in every company everywhere. That's why we have confession in church and religion exists. No one is holier than thow...we just strive to be.

Unless corporations want to do body checks on folks coming and going to work, some pilfering happens in every single co. in corporate America today. I don't care if you work at a clothing store, restaurant, grocery store, hotel, judge court room offices, short of working just at home, its just what it is. And its not just a blue/white collar thing. Its all the way up the exec ladder. Just because its expensed to have huge golf outtings, or fly F/C as an exec and upgrade all your friends (which happens) doesn't make it any different than taking a bottle of water to drink.

Personally, I drink Tyler spring water as I have 4 cases deliverd to my house every month. Many folks have water delieverd to their homes or buy cases at the grocery store. I personally think tap water is poison to consume and I think its easy access for terrorists. And tap filtered water collects metals and algie as well.

I think everyone should drink bottled water, and regardless, our crews have to drink plenty of bottled water on the airplane to survive and hydrate everyday flying 13 hour duty days. No one should drink the galley water from the taps as they are full of mold and algie. Same goes for the ground crews. Or, do you think ramp agents should sweat and pass out in 90 degree weather loading bags drinking NOTHING? I have been on the a/c many times in scorching heat and toss water bottles to the ramp agents on the tarmac. Many times.

Lord have mercy.
