Recall Rights Extended

Now that's BS !!!!! APFA is not the enemy... When will you see that ????? Just because APFA did not role over and give the store to the TWA F/As they are not a good union. Did you know that the TWA F/A's got everything but bidding senority.... pretty good deal at the time !! Really want all the TWA F/As back.... love working with them...

APFA is the enemy. A union that cannot be honest with its members. Look at how THB goes after those who filed and supported Marcoux, claiming APFA did nothing wrong and they are a bunch of malcontents.

THB came to FU where the TWA F/As were getting training and stated no F/A should fly over age 65. Clueless looking at an audience many of whom were over 65. She also insulted them in other ways. She did apologize however.

Did you know initially the TWA F/As were told by your own committee that they would never be stapled? How can you trust anyone from APFA?

APFA makes Jimmy Hoffa look like a Boy Scout.

Enjoy your flying with TWA F/As.

But what union is totally politically correct and does no wrong ??? Our pilots union has it's issues.... they stapled .
Some TWA F/As hate the IAM and dog them repeatedly.... THB has done some good for the APFA but it's time for a new leader.

Do you know of any other union that gratuitously gave up furlough pay of their stapled members on the eve of their mass furlough for no reason other than to kick them while they were already down? It was as immoral as stealing from widows and orphans.

The APA, by the way, only partially stapled the former TWA pilots. Several hundred of the more senior pilots were slotted and the rest were stapled.

Slotted and fenced off from the majority, till most likely after they are retired. So in essence, stapled.

Think of this way... Where would TWA be today if AA did not buy them ???? Look at the glass half full sometimes...

Not necessarily. The original SIA addressed JFK and STL. Then it was amended to STL. Some if not all jobs would have been preserved. You will never convince me that if we hadn't been the "cushion", there wouldn't have been more effort to save jobs. 1/4th of the membership was extinguished with the stroke of a pen and an illegal vote. The APFA fought to have us under their umbrella. Why, because of 4200 more members. Look at how training is being handled. There were no contractual provisions to address recall training in the CBA (why not, who knows). Other groups on the property receive insurance and passes from day 1, not the f/as. This is absurd. They are making those who are now old enough to retire/resign return for 3+ weeks of training, report to base and THEN retire. This costs approximately $10,000 per employee for the same end result, they will retire. No, we don't get YOUR retirement. There are some that missed the age 50 cutoff at the time of the furlough. They are now eligible, why mess up the base headcounts, incur the cost of training, just "because". Oh, and the training pay, $9.50 an hour, BECAUSE it wasn't addressed in that industry leading contract.

Ah, that is something we'll never know. Many who were in the same financial shape are still around. I believe you would have seen America West, Alaska Airlines, and TWA joined. And, look how many said, "There will not be any former TWA f/a recalled to AA". The glass is more than half full for those who have returned. They are having a "ball" and are happy to be there..(told you so..lol) THe glass would quickly fill if the rest were offered the choice of also returning.

Nancy, I was talking about how the pilot agreement was explained to me. Not the F/A's.

So there is no integration at all. But they do have seniority within so to speak.

Can you please name an airline that was in the same financial shape as TWA was in and is still around today ??? 911 surely would have shut TWA down even if they would have made it til then. AA had to fund the TWA operation (200 mil )until the deal was closed....
We all know it was a god send that AA bought TWA...
And I am all for bringing the TWA F/As back.... wonderful people to work with..... more F/As to keep me off rsv....
