Which APFA chairs voted to approve the extension, and which voted no?
I'm thinking next year at this time and with all 1200 F/As back you will be off rsv 🙂) ..I agree; they're wonderful to work with. Bring enough back, and I'll be off reserve, too!
MK
Can you please name an airline that was in the same financial shape as TWA was in and is still around today ??? 911 surely would have shut TWA down even if they would have made it til then. AA had to fund the TWA operation (200 mil )until the deal was closed....
We all know it was a god send that AA bought TWA...
And I am all for bringing the TWA F/As back.... wonderful people to work with..... more F/As to keep me off rsv....

Its all on the AAFA4M..
JN gave his usual spin to the 16 faithful in his flock of the BOD mtng and the extension.
It is the 4M, about as respected and credible as The Weekly World News, but if you try, very hard, you can separate the fact from the spin and see how the BOD voted.

Reports from the BOD meeting show who voted for and against the recalls. And the only ones to mention seniority were nAAtive F/A BOD members.
Even more interesting was the report from Senator McCaskill's chief of staff that APFA was not a labor union because of the way it treated the TWAers. And he went on to say APFA has a bad reputation on the hill especially within labor friendly senators because of what they did to the TWAers. APFA is not respected by labor. At one point Heidi asked why Senator Kennedy had written a letter linking provisions in the Omnibus Bill to the extension of recall. The Senator's COS, Shaun replied that Senator kennedy is pro labor as any union shouild be (meaning of course not APFA).
Laura Glading talked about her putting language in the contract to protect AA F/As in case of a merger. Muldorf the APFA attorney said they were as worthless as the TWA language. So much for it will never happen to us.
People called each other liars and attacked THB repeatedly for her role in the recall. THB did a good job defending herself.
Several BOD members were upset that the TWA grievances were not used to benefit AA f/as. THB put it to them saying haven't we done enough to them already?
Another day where several members of the BOD show their hate for TWAers.
Let me guess...Was it the John Ward faction of the board who wasted our money with their antics?
Well, it appears so. You are right about wasting your money. A rather expensive one day BOD meeting all stired up by a few from DFW, DCA and BOS. I gather some of the BOD members are getting embarassed by the attacks on THB. the name calling and the unprofessional antics of a few.
I can imagine. John Ward is all about dividing people which is the only way he can get any power. He finds a few individuals who are willing to listen to his blather and somehow mesmerizes them.
Obviously, more than a few were embarrassed because the vote evidently passed by a large margin.
