How exactly would sending in the troops prevent people from going on a rampage here?  I'll answer that one for you, it won't.  And as been stated numerous times before ISIS exists because we were there in the first place.  Also the vast majority of mass shootings in this country have nothing to do with ISIS.

Actually, since a Holy War is exactly what IS wants, and is exactly how they recruit members and supporters and followers, us giving it (the Holy War they want...) to them is more likely to increase the number of attacks on Americans and in the U.S. than it is to decrease them.

Which is why containing them until they implode - and these movements always do implode eventually - while intelligently helping the implosion process along in financial and diplomatic and other avenues is arguably a more intelligent strategy than invasion and occupation.

Not as much "fun" or as "tough" as sending other people's kids and moms and dads to die in the desert, but that didn't "work" for W etal much, now did it?

Before you laugh, you all like to credit Reagan and the "containment and facilitate implosion" strategy for the fall of the Iron Curtain, dissolution of the USSR, and defeat of communism.

Not the same same, but the history is like enough, arguably.

I'm not apologizing for anyone, just pointing out a basic truth that most people over 6 or so know.

Posting that Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship the same Being is hardly PC in a country where 80 something percent of the population identifies as Christian or Jewish, and Muslims are the bad guys.
